In an interesting side-note, exchange costs for Wyndham and Worldmark owners recently went DOWN in both RCI and II.

There were two changes. First, a new category only for studios now exists, with correspondingly low points. Previously, we have had the same cost for either a one-bedroom or a studio. For many, that's very good news, although it remains to be seen how many actual studios show up because most timeshare properties don't have any studios.

The other change is that all exchange points costs went down a little across the board -- all sizes of villas, all seasons. Exchanging Wyndham/Worldmark into DVC has always been a good trade; now it's a little less expensive (better).

ETA: I did the math and found the following:

• Wyn/WM exchange cost reductions for studios (from the previous 1 BR exchange costs) range from 36% to 53%, obviously depending on season
• One bedroom costs decreased from 12% to 19%
• Two bedroom costs decreased 8% to 29%
• Three bedroom and higher costs decreased from 2% to 30%
