Booked Unexpected September Trip!

My wife and I are West Coast DVC owners, but didn’t have a trip planned till next February.

We have some time off in September and I saw last night a week open at Aulani during this time, so we booked it with some extra points we have!

I know Aulani isn’t at its complete best right now, but a week in Hawaii is still super exciting for us!

Anyone concerned about more restrictions and lockdowns…we are booked for 9/5-9/12 and are anxious..was watching a local YouTube channel ..Just be out and it is giving me pause to go ahead with the trip..

We aren’t - we were there this past Thanksgiving right before the winter surge and we had the best time - we think if anything is going to happen the Governor will require tourists to test regardless of your vaccination status. But guess we will just wait and see.

Yes..I guess it’s wait and see..I just wish my points wouldn’t go into holding if there is another lockdown…also still confused what would happen with my American flight if I need to schedule as to how long the vouchers would be good for..

Agreed are going 9/5-9/18 and it sounds like the situation is getting very bad in Hawaii. ICU beds at nearly 100% capacity in Honolulu. However, the problem seems to be mostly with unvaccinated locals. I think for now the most likely thing we will see is reinstatement of testing for transpacific travelers regardless of vaccination status.
