Booked our cruise!!

I finally booked our cruise last night. 3 nights on the Disney Wonder 20th December 2009. Couldn't get the secret porthole room on deck 5 but got one of the 'sideways' cabins right next to them on deck 5.
Can't wait now, keep watching videos on YouTube and listening to the horn.

We had the deck 5 sideways cabins at Easter, cabin #s are at home I can't remember them.

I heard good reviews about the sideways cabins being bigger, or appearing bigger due to a better layout and seeing as they were on deck 5 like you recommended I thought I'd book those ones.

It's a long time to go but it will give us the time to save and something to look forward to. We booked the main holiday back in April!

We're going in 2 weeks, and have a cat 7 room, but a about 6 months ago I asked if the cabin that was previously a cat 6 room but now a cat 7 room was available and they said no. (it has a full verrandah with only a slight obstruction as opposed to navigators verrandah). I checked my booking last night and saw that our cabin number has changed to the former cat 6 , so obviously when I phoned DCL they must have put a note on our booking to change us if there was a cancellation.
Might be worth a call to them?

Thanks Lisa. TBH, I think I'm more than happy now being able to get the sideways room as it has a better layout and more space than a normal one. I'm also pushing the boat out (no pun intended ) on the cruise and the secret porthole rooms are more expensive.
I'll definitely remember this for the future though.

To be honest, I'd sleep in a sunlounger on deck just to be going on a Disney Cruise.

We had chance of Secret Porthole rooms at Easter, someone on DIS was cancelling for our dates but we had already paid £400 each for 4 nights (most I have ever paid for a cruise). Now after having the inside cabin we wouldn't hessitate to use again.

We had a great DIS meet in Oct 05 on the Magic, someone arranged a game of Distag etc. This year on Wonder was a lot more low key, just a 20 minute meet before sailaway party.

ORLANDOTHEBEAGLE - I love your Beagle in the picture! We have a little boy tricolour, and I'm really going to miss him when we're away - In fact the lady who was supposed to have him can't manage now, so my friend is going to have him - he's not really kennel material - he's just like pinnochio - he wants to be a real boy! - doesn't realise he;'s a doggie.

Gosh, you are in scotland, we could have him!!
The hassle I have went to to get someone to take orly rather than kennels has been a real pain, he is SUCH a naughty noddle, up to no good the whole time!!!
Usually my mum has him but she is coming with us.

Yes, our Max is the same, and he also sleeps in our bed when he can so I hope my friend will still speak to me when we get home.
The lady who was keeping him had him for a sleepover and said she couldn't keep him becaues he is such a cheeky boy - not bad but just goes around the house like a human - he opens doors and hogs setees.

Yes, that sounds like Orly, I try not lo let him sleep in our bed because my mum doesnt let him, but if I get up for the loo through the night and leave the kid gate for a second he is under the duvet,!
