Just come off the phone with Virgin, fly out 14 december and back on 01 January. The 11.15 flight out going was already sold out, so we are on the 12.30.

Now I can let the planning begin ...

Grerat news Jules - how exciting to be going for Christmas. Thought you were waiting for pay day to book the flights so you obviously got a good price, did you ;)

Hiya Joh - pay day was today, not a bad price, it was amazing the difference in price had we gone any later than the 14th, the prices shot up for Christmas !

I've also made a mistake above, we fly back on the 4th not the first, stupid fingers not working properly !

Thats brilliant:goodvibes Still waiting for my pay day:confused3 Enjoy your Xmas planning,

no worries Joh, the 23rd couldn't come soon enough for me !

My pay-day is 23rd too, but sadly no booking for me. :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

I was either too drunk on Saturday to have taken this conversation on board, or too drunk to remember it :rotfl:. Or maybe I'm being too hard on myself - I could just have been in another room! :rotfl2:

Deb - if you were too drunk Mrs, there was surely no hope for me !! I think you may have been in another room xx

Hi - I had the same problem that I couldn't get the dates on the web, I rang them up on 0870 200 2788. It has cost us £1350, the actual flights were £499 each but then there were all the extras, car insurance, weekend flight supplements etc. We have the car for 16 of the 21 nights so this cost us a bit extra, the £1350 also includes a 10% frequent virgin discount. The 11.15am flight is already booked up, so we are on the 12.30, so it may be worth you giving them a ring. If we had chosen to go one or two days later, the cost of the flight jumped to £799 each, I am assuming this is because of Christmas, and this is probably the reason that everone is trying to get on the 14th December flight, the customer service person I spoke to was really shocked by the speed the 11.15 had filled up.

Hope this helps and good luck, let us know how you get on

It is too early for flight only, but not to book a fly drive like Jules. Just checked and the dates 14th dec-4th Jan are bookable online. £499 each same as we paid last Xmas but you have to take their car.
The 11.15 flights won't be sold out yet only the allocation to Virgin Holidays/Flydrives they keep the rest for Flight only until 11 months out. I found this out from them last Xmas but still decided to take the fly drive and then it was booked.
