This is my first post - still learning!

Booked for Mar 28 2008 with Virgin. Haven't paid extra with Virgin for preferred rooms as they wanted £20 per day. Is it possible to upgrade at check-in at the hotel and pay $ rate direct to Disney? I believe it is $10 per day.

I don't see any harm in asking this when you check in, but i suppose it'll all depend if they have any preferred rooms left at the time. Which resort are you staying at?

you could always fax them in advance and state you want to upgrade on arrival and that, of course, you'll pay for it on check in, its still not guaranteed but I can't see why they wouldn't keep a preferred room back for you.

Thanks for all your advice. This will be the families third trip to All Star Movies. We stayed in the Love Bug (before the children) and last time in Dalmatians in 2004. Now so much of the resort is preferred, I was a bit worried about having to pay Virgins hefty supplements just to be within sniffing distance of the food hall! I've been hearing good things about Mighty Ducks so I don't feel so bad now!

Welcome Magic Mummy.

We stayed in the Mighty Ducks last year and found it fine, the walk to the food court, buses etc was not too bad, and I certainly preferred the Ducks pool as it was quieter.
