Can't believe it - I've just booked for 2012 staying at the Beach Club.

Got a decent quote from Charter travel and Virgin have price matched so booked with them as the price is guaranteed where as Charter stated the flights could go up when released 11 months before? Also with Virgin we get the $300 gift card so that's the girls sorted with their spends.

We usually go before the half term but as the girls are getting older we've tagged a week onto the half term so I was quite surprised the price wasn't much higher for the school hols. (Also we save £250 in holiday club fees so that goes towards offsetting the increase)

Can't believe I will have 2 tickers shortly (when I get round to it) :cool1:

Still in a state of shock but very very happy!!!

October 19th for 2 weeks

The half term falls funny next year and the school couldn't confirm which week it will be. It will either be 22/10 or 29/10 but this way I will definitely catch it.

weve booked for september 2012. how many of you are there and how much are you paying. we got a fab price for 5 adults just wanted to compare.

Congratulations on your Disney holiday. Can I ask how did you contact Virgin about the price match I currently have a quote from Charter travel for Oct 2012 and it's coming out £600 cheaper than virgin but for peace of mind I would prefer to book with Virgin

We've been on October half term week too. This was before we had DD. We inadvertantly booked our wedding on half term week :rolleyes1 , hence we couldn't get flights for our honeymoon so we went for our 1st Anniversary instead. I was also a bit worried about the price but, like you said, it didn't seem much extra i just had to book really early for the availability. It was a great atmosphere and not too busy either....just love halloween! we intend to return at the same time of year again but this time for our 10yr anniversary :cool1:...2015! bit of a wait, due to funding, but thats life. Hav a fab time :dance3:

I rang up reservations as I wanted a quote using my 10% frequent flyer no. and you can't do this online

It came out higher so I said I had cheaper quote. The girl I was dealing with asked me to forward an email from the company with the details on and she would forward to their price match department to see if they could help.

They called me about 20 mins later to say they would match it + the $300 gift card and I said I would speak to DH. I arranged for them to call me at 10am today and the deed is done!

N.B They did point out that Charter Travel prices are not guaranteed and could go up when the flights are released 11 months out but I just said I had checked around and this had very rarely happened.

I said I had always travelled with Virgin and the fact we were travelling with them in October this year and would like to continue using them.... you know the usual stuff!! :lmao:

Good luck I hope they price match as I also wanted the peace of mind of booking with Virgin

We are looking at these dates, how much was it ? for how many?

Thanks.

2 AD & 2 CH but one will be 10 so pays adult price for Disney pass
Direct Flights from Manchester
14 nights Beach Club
Free DDP
14 Day Ultimate Disney Passes

£6500

The reason I didn't do DIY which could have been cheaper is that I was stuck to travelling on the 19th October. When you're not flexible with dates I don't think you can afford to wait for offers in the hopes they match your plans. Also DH won't consider indirect until the girls are teenagers - if he ever will then and we're not keen travelling down to Gatwick either.

Reading the above I hadn't realised how fussy we were!! :lmao:

That looks a fair price with passes included !

how exciting! :yay: I saw a WDW/VH ad on TV this morning that offered the free dining plan and $300 gift card - must say am very tempted!!

least even when you come back from this years trip, you can start planning the next one! No post holiday blues for you!

WOW, i think thats a really good deal. We are looking at the same but in May. I too phoned up charter travel and they offered a great deal compared to Virgin, might see if they will price match too.
Congratulations:cool1:

You will love the beach club, I just replied to your other thread, not realising you have already booked. You will not be disappointed by your choice

I know - it was a last minute post before I booked. I suddenly got the jitters and realised I hadn't even asked wise folk of Dis what they thought :scared1:

Having read the replies I'm soooooo excited and we haven't even been on this years yet!

I keep seeing the Virgin advert which i think is advertising the same deals with the $300 gift card & free dining, it's extremely tempting!

But it's only available if you book a 'standard' room. :confused3

Congratulations! :yay:

D'oh! I've just posted a completely redundant comment on your other thread! :rotfl:

You are going on my birthday.:goodvibes We fly out 10 days later! Happy planning.
