well i resisted but dh was insisting that we book the full package for lucy our dd she will be 4 , shes soo excited she thinks its " princess school"

she is booked in at 9am in magic kingdom and we are then taking monorail to akershaus for a princess lunch

i still think it was silly expensive to get the full package and would have prefered to get her a dress from asda/walmart and then just had a basic hair and makeup

also we are planning on getting photopassplus so would she have got photos included as part of the photopass ??

anyway its booked now and shes sooo excited just hope she can sit still long enough to be pampered !!

I am taking my two six year old nieces in August, I can't wait. This will be our 10th trip and I will finally have some girls to take to the Pricessy things. We are going to DTD location and to 1900 Park Fare for dinner. I am just going for the cheapest package as their mum has bought them so many Princess dresses that would be crazy to pay Disney prices for another. We can't wait.

We have also booked the full package for our GD who will be 3. Really looking forward to seeing her face. Booked BOG for dinner that day as well.

BBB is wonderful:thumbsup2 We took my children to the one in MK and then went to Akershus for lunch. There are photos in my trip report :)

We have just booked to go back next year and I think my DD would be able to sit still enough by then to have a BB makeover! Can I ask Joolz what were the inivitation that you mentioned in your TR that your girls got when you arrived at BBB? Are they part of the package or did you make them yourself?

I have shown my DD pics of another TR of a girl at BBB and have told her its for big girls who don't bite their nails and who are very good (no I'm not ablove a bit of bribery!!), and she said I hope I get an invitation! (this may be because Cinderella invited her to the castle for her birthday lunch last year and she also had invites under the door each morning to the other character meals we did so she perhaps thinks you need to be invited to do special things at WDW!)

Thanks :goodvibes

Claire :)

If you go to the DIS igns forum there are loads of designers that have a link to their photobucket in their signatures. Some of them have blanks that you can personalise yourself , and you can request for some on the forum.
It did take me ages to work out how to personalise some of them, and be warned it does get addictive! I found myself looking at who follows who and finding more Disney designs that way!

If you have trouble finding any blanks that you want personalised give me a shout and I'm sure I'll be able to help :goodvibes

Hi, the fairy godmothers gave her a pink slip with her name on it as we arrived at BBB.

Here is a picture of the girls with their invitations:

The bag of goodies they were given was much better than I expected. A real bonus for any little princess.

Yes, you will get photopass pictures when you go to BBB, whether you have PP+ or just the regular one, you get the photos with both.

Silly to spend all the money? I dunno. I'm actually on the fence on that one (having thought the same thing as you when DD was young enough to go with it). It's the kind of thing you are going to do just once, even if you make regular trips to WDW and your DD is at such a great age to really enjoy the full princess package. My daughter liked the princesses enough, but was never totally crazy about them - certainly never to the extent of coughing up for even a basic package, although she has expressed her own regret to me now that she is older as she feels she is 'too old' to do it now but wishes she had just once. At least your DD will never live to regret what she never did and neither will you as parents. You will have awesome photos too and that hair .... well, lets just say she will probably still have the hair-do in place several days later :)

Thanks Joolz, thats great :goodvibes I think I will still make her an invitation to find on the morning that it's booked for! Bless her she totally believed that she had specially been invited to all the character meals by the characters themselves! Thats why we we are going back next year to capture the magic again before she doesn't believe any more!! ;)

Can I come too?:goodvibes
I told my girls that Mickey was making their dinner at Chef Mickey's. The youngest still talks about it. They are not young for long - how I wish I could capture and keep that magical look in their eyes when they see their favourite character, or the Castle for the first time.:wizard:

Course you can come :goodvibes

Luckily we have on DVD the moment that my DD saw the castle for the first time in December. I will remember that look of pure wonderment on her face forever :lovestruc

Yes it probably is 'silly money' but as PPs have said they're only young once, enjoy it. Lots of people thought we were mad spending the money we did on Disney Holidays (and very occasionally I agreed:confused3) but now mine are heading towards 18 & 20, I'm so glad we did, we have some fantastic photos from over the years and some of our best 'family times' have been in WDW.

Have a fantastic time:goodvibes

To be honest I think the money is worth it for my daughters face, she's been to the BBB twice and wants to go again on our next visits. She will be 8 so prob the last time she will want to go. The memories are priceless and my daughter always feels like a princess all day.

My middle DD loved the whole experience. The photopass photographer captured the moment of the big reveal and her face was pure delight. She loved her hair in a bun and trust me, it is pretty much welded to stay in place.;)

aw she is totally beyond excited so its easy to forget how much its cost !! luckily we only have the one dd and 2 sons !!

lets just say im interested to see how the hair turns out she has wild curly fuzzy hair at the moment so i cant wait to see what they manage to do to it !! i certainly can not tame it !!!

You will get all the photopass photos that are taken during the make-over and then, just check with those who have gone recently, but they used to let you take your dollied up Princess to a Photopass location at City Hall (??? Memory on that is a bit foggy) and you could get more done. I am pretty sure you will get far more than 5 while they are working on her though

The photopass photographer clicked away before, during and after the 'reveal'. I asked about City Hall photos but they hadn't got a clue what I was on about.:confused3 We took our own pictures too and then found a photographer by the castle who did a magic shot holding Tink.

In my opinion, BBB is a must for all princess fans! My DD is not a 'girly-girl' and considered herself too old at 8 to have a makeover - and she loved it.

Just to add, I paid for the middle package which included hair, make-up and nails. We took our own dresses, which I am glad about as the WDW can be a bit itchy. It cost around £30 - which was fantastic value for money, considering the pampering and goody bad, not to mention the attention they get afterwards.

I've read in a TR that if you use BBB at MK then you can go into Castle coture store and have some pics in a seperate area in there.

Claire :)
