Boo to you, and Yo Ho Ho!! An Oct 2012 PTR. Updated 10/22!! Finally!!!!!

Happy Father's Day!!

I hope all the Daddies are enjoying their day! We had a barbecue yesterday with my Dad, Bro and Sis-in law...it was short because my niece was having a cranky day, but sweet because we got to hang with them.:grouphug: Today we got up and headed out early for our local ribfest...we had too much to eat and then came home and Ferb crashed on the couch for a much needed post caloric overload nap....:cloud9:

Now we are having a quiet afternoon just hanging out listening to the birds outside, working on crafts and catching up on the Disboards....just a relaxing lazy day.

The girls are in the home stretch for school, two weeks left! Can't wait for summer vacay to begin for them....gonna be hanging at the beach a lot this summer I think.

Week #10

Jack Skellington!

Vacation is officially over for me tonight..:sad1: It's been a productive and relaxing vacation, though, so I shouldn't complain....but I'm gonna anyways!:lmao: I guess the worst part of it isn't that I am going back to work, but the fact that I have to work all night. It's the sleep deprivation that really gets to me...

But, the good news is that it's only 6 weeks til our next vacation!!:cool1: It's not Disney, but we are going away with family to a cottage/lake house in the mountains in the Adirondack State Park. Very relaxing!:cloud9:

Also, I just noticed that we are almost at the 4 month mark...not too shabby.:thumbsup2 Some of the members of our Oct group are about to hit the double digit mark...can't wait for that one! Then I will have to add some dancers!;)

The girls are winding down at school, Rapunzel has her end of the year trip tomorrow! She is excited to be going to a local animal preserve and check out the animals, plus they have a huge splash pad!

That's all for now...hope everyone has a great weekend...I plan on sleeping whenever I can.:cloud9:

Sorry your vacation is over but yay for another one coming up soon!

I'm one of those almost double digit DISers! :)

Your post totally made me laugh. My kids go back to school in 6 weeks (August 1) and they've been out of school for over 2 weeks already! How different states are!

Wow .. you guys go to school late into the year ! We got out last week.

I'm jealous that your going back so soon .. I'd love to go in October .. decisions, decisions.

Hope you have a great time at the Adirondacks ! :goodvibes

We are in Canada and we are all still in school here...but literally minutes from us in New York State were all done the other day. Go figure!

Yes, we go late, but we start the day after Labour Day...we get ripped!
Hope you get to go back soon!!!

I can't WAIT to get into the double-digits! Less than two weeks until that milestone, woohoo!

I love seeing your countdowns. I am not too much further behind you.

So, a bit of a life update and some WDW news as well today.

We are now under the 4 month count...not as nice as our double digit friends yet, but we are getting closer!:cool1: And I have made part of our lodging reservations this past week!!:thumbsup2 I say part...see, we are staying at Wyndham Bonnet Creek for this vacation, well that was the plan:rolleyes1. We are Wyndham points owners (Smoky Mountains), and we planned to use our points for this week. The problem with Wyndham Vacation Resorts website is they only allow up to a 7 night reservation and we are staying 8 nights. So, with their system you have to split up your week into two reservations. No problem, they link them at the resort when you check in so you shouldn't have to switch rooms mid week. BUT.....when you plug your dates into the website to book, depending on how they "configure" the reservation it takes more or less points for the exact same dates. I don't get it myself, but there you go. So, when I tried to get it to do the whole 8 nights it wouldn't then when I plugged in less nights figuring I would do it in two separate reservations it kept giving me wonky numbers, then because we have to use what's called "housekeeping" points, we wouldn't have enough for two reservations because the system assumes that you will be checking out and the resort will need to clean your unit. So, that left me with trying to use the least amt of Wyndham points followed by the least amt of Housekeeping points. Finally, I figured, if I am going to have to pay for extra housekeeping points, why not just stay onsite for a couple of nights? See where I am going with this? ;)

I made a reservation for the first 6 nights at WBC using the least amt of points, and figure we will stay at AoA for the last two and if we can get a good room only discount we will stay in a suite and if not we can stay in the LM rooms...if any are still available by the time we need to book. That being said, I am a new Disney TA and I consider this job research!:thumbsup2:lmao:

Today is the last day of school for Rapunzel and Stitch and I don't know who is happier, me or the girls?!:dance3: No more homework, no more lunches, no more rushing home from work at 8 AM to get them on the bus at 8:30!!!:headache: So happy to be able to let them stay up and hang out and sleep in and go to the beach....:woohoo:

But this morning I had to get up early and drive Ferb to work, his muffler crapped out on us last night and we need to get it fixed, and that's just the conclusion of our wonderful week with the cars...Sunday I got in a MINOR car accident in a Tim Horton's parking lot and now I am having difficulty getting the other guy's info..I know I should have at least gotten his plate number but I was just getting off work and I was tired. So, now we are trying to get him to call us back with that info...especially since it was his fault. Anyways, then Monday I fell down my stairs...:upsidedow and no, I wasn't drinking!:lmao: I'm fine, but it's been one heck of a week!

Tuesday, we took the girls to see Brave. It was stunningly beautiful, and a lovely lesson on mother/daughter relationships...but, I wasn't too impressed with the movie on the whole. They could have done so much more with the bad guy and the courting clans story. But, that's just my opinion. The only problem now is we promised Rapunzel to take her friends this coming Tues for her birthday party followed by a sleep over. I really don't want to see it again. I guess I figured with the quality of the Toy Story movies, Monsters Inc, Nemo etc etc...I thought we would be more than happy to see Brave twice in the theaters. Oh well, maybe I will see more in it to appreciate this time around. The only reason we already saw it was because I didn't want to be distracted with other kids to take care of for the party. KWIM?

It's my Monday again..:sad2:..I have to work the next 5 nights which takes us over the holiday here in Canada. Sucks, but it's impossible to get holidays off at my work. At least since it falls on Sunday this year Ferb is off and he can be with the girls...maybe take them to see fireworks that night.

That's all for now...I will be off line for the weekend trying to sleep and get ready for Rapunzel's party. Her birthday isn't until July 29th, but this way she gets to take her friends to see Brave. She's happy!:yay:
I hope everyone has a great weekend!

And....

Happy Canada Day, eh?!

I totally lost you on the WBC explanation but that's ok LOL.

I want to see Brave but I'm not overly excited about it. I've seen every Pixar movie in the theatre since Finding Nemo and the only two I didn't really care for were The Incredibles (I felt like the superhero thing had been done to death at that point & they were just jumping on the bandwagon) and Cars 2. I hope Pixar isn't starting to go downhill! And with the sequels & prequels now I'm becoming a little worried. :\

I have heard that a lot of people didn't like Cars 2, but we liked it. And that made me think that we would love Brave. But alas, we did not. The girls really liked it, which is really the whole reason we do this anyways, right?:rolleyes1

I have heard that a lot about Brave.
I suggest trying to get her to see Madagascar 3....that is really good.

Already saw that one....but the kids liked it so we are fine with it. Just not our fave and bummed we went to see it in Tues already. Oh well...

I TOTALLY understand the points crap...unfortunately, a little too well. :rotfl: We have had to book 2 reservations for the same stay in Las Vegas, D.C., AND Disney World! Luckily only once did we actually need to switch rooms. The other two times they were able to connect them for us. It's not too upsetting when it doesn't work out for WDW and you are "forced" into one or two nights onsite. :rotfl: Still hoping it will work out for us in October and we get a good AP room discount...I am waiting & watching! :magnify:

Good luck with your AP discount! Yeah, I'm REAL sad that we have to stay onsite for a couple of nights.:rolleyes1:lmao:
