Has anyone eaten there and would they recommend it? I'm kinda up in the air about it and haven't been able to find any reviews on it, so it would be good to hear some opinions. And if you didn't like it, what other restaurant would you recommend in DTD? Thanks for any help you could give me.

I ate there years ago as a solo in their outside bar area. I enjoyed it. Really don't remember what I had.

I was thinking about eating here and did a thread search and found older postings with comments on this place. The reviews were almost all unfavorable. In addition to the comments stating that the food was not great, not authentic cuban, it was also posted over and over that there is loud music blaring here??? So I opted to skip it.

The only places I have eaten DTD is Wolfgang Pucks (we did TS, not CS) and Portabello Yacht Club. I thought they were both okay, not great. I would return to both but I also would not be disappointed to skip them.

I wouldn't reccomend it. This was a few years ago, but food and waitstaff alike were horrible. To top it off we had to sit next this big trashcan, yuck. Sorry, but I really can't remember the meal in good detail anymore, just that it was bad. I'd suggest Pucks, I read a bad review but we always have a good meal.

Thanks so much for all of your quick replies. :thumbsup2 I'll have to try to research some older threads. I don't have any ressies for that night yet, maybe we'll try some place else.

We ate there last winter and detested it. The atmosphere was fun enough, but the food was poor (the cheapest quality, worst tasting and worst looking food I've ever had in WDW) and we had a rude server. Funsies.

I've read good reviews and bad, so I guess it's worth researching the menus and seeing if you'd like to try it out. I probably won't go back there again.

When we eat in DTD we usually eat a Wolfgang Pucks or Planet Hollywood. Neither of them are fantastic, but we always enjoy the food and dining at both the restaurants. I've never been there, but some friends of mine recommended House of Blues from their last trip also.

DD18 and I ate there and will not return. The food was ok. Bland. But the service...........was horrid. I don't care if someone offered a free meal and $100 on top of it, I would not return! That is about the worst "service" I have ever encountered in ANY restaurant.

we ate there back in 1997....DH loved it....i thought the food was OK...kinda "different"...but i guess cuban food is not my style.

it was really pretty inside!!

i would see if you can find the menu & see if its something you like?!?

Been there once. Never going back. Loud noise, bland food, horrible service.
The walk-up window outside has bailed me out in a pinch, but that's as close to eating there again as I plan to get.

House of Blues has a solid menu. Raglan Road is good. RFC and WPC are adequate, and can be good if you order the right things. We like the food at PH as well, but the tight seating and noise levels are a turn off.

I ate there this past summer and I enjoyed it. As previous posters have mentioned they do play loud music throughout your meal.......if you go during dinner time.

If you eat upstairs I found the music not to be as bothersome as downstairs. I really enjoyed the food though. I had the chicken con pollo....which was tasty.

Without doubt the worst experience I have ever had on Disney property. Food was poor and service was stunningly bad. Almost deliberately bad. No amount of money would ever get me in there again:mad: :scared:

Loud!!
And the servers spent more time entertaining themselves (dancing, etc) than they did waiting on tables.

We have eaten at Bongo's twice and found it to be just so-so. There are much better places to eat at DD.
