Well with those facts, we could take the thread in a whole new direction and ask WTH you were thinking having your 8 and 9 yo girls still out at 3AM?![]()

Thanks mom2 and mesaboy
Hope that helps larryz, I'm sorry you are so confused... or should I say boneheaded![]()
Well, I've been on that ride, and unless one of the little girls was sitting in the lap of the other little girl, there should not have been enough room for a third person.
So, look in the mirror. Perhaps it was the boneheaded little girls, or the boneheaded little girl's boneheaded parent who failed to instruct them to sit side by side...
call ME boneheaded, will ya'... ya' wild kid ya'...
TTA... is that the Tomorrowland Transit Authority?
Let me see if I've got this right. You had one bench to yourself. You were facing another single on his own bench. And there was one family in the car behind you. If I've got that wrong, my apologies.
Those cars fit four people facing each other. Do you think you should have had all four seats to yourself? As for the family in the car behind you - should the CM have left the entire car behind you empty?
Mind, the last time I rode the TTA it was very, very lonely. The TTA was nearly empty, except for me and a man on a different train. Couldn't help noticing him... I mean, it's another human! Both of our trains stopped for some reason and we ended up waving at each other across the tracks.
I would have loved to share a car with someone. The TTA's not half as much fun by yourself. Especially when it stops and you're stuck sitting there bored for ten minutes.
But, you know, if it's important to you to sit alone, it might be a good idea to tell the CM that when you get to the front of the line. "I'm not comfortable sharing my car with anyone. Can I ride alone? Also, could you please not seat anyone behind me, either?" The CM might not be able to accommodate you on a busy day, but I bet most of the time they could. The TTA doesn't get much business.
I didn't read this whole thread so hope I'm not too off topic here. I have taken many solo trips, and have definitely been seated on BTMRR and had a stranger join me. I have clear recollection of this happening on more than one occasion (because I remember trying hard not to slide into the stranger!). Anyway, it happens. Never had it happen on Haunted Mansion, though!
I do think it's odd that the kid sat with the OP's girls! Probably either a miscommunication from a CM or a case of cluelessness.
Let me clarify.
The term "car" will be used for the individual car of the train
"Train" will be used for the several cars in a section.
I was seated in a car with another single.
The car behind us was occupied by a family.
We were the only five on the train.
I don't recall how many cars make up the train. For reason's sake, we'll say 5 cars make up the train.
With three separate parties, is it really unreasonable to occupy three cars?
As I said, the CM asked how many. I stated one. The person behind me also answered one, and the CM told that person to sit with me. The family behind that single was to occupy the car behind us.
I'm not quite sure where you got the idea I expected to have a whole train to myself. To me, that's unreasonable. It'd be like asking to not have anyone ride your log in Splash Mountain because you want to be the only one in the picture.
I was just expressing how I never experienced, as a single rider on the TTA, sharing a car. Train, yes. Car, no.
Same here! I've been placed with another solo more than once on BTMRR and just try my best not slide into them.

On Splash Mountain, my daughter asked to ride alone in the front seat, the CM said 'sure!' My mom and I were in the row right behind her.
Next thing I know, two large people crammed themselves into the seat with her! Now she's wedged up against the side, very uncomfortable, and I'm asking the CM at the control board not to let us go, because my daughter is telling me it hurts, and we want out.
The CM sends us anyways, my daughter ends up with a red area on her rib cage, and when I get off and get a manager, I find that CM, look her right in the eye, and tell her she's lucky my daughter didn't get more of an injury besides that red area. It did bruise up a bit later, but she was OK. I hope that CM was disciplined and retrained.
Thinking that it's ok to ask to ride alone when there are other people waiting to get on the ride seems pretty inconsiderate. I'd be pretty upset if I were behind you, and I'd absolutely not allow my child to ask to do it

For cryin' out loud... get a grip.
Haha! I don't know what else to call them. I've had a few experiences like this over the years. It's really not a HUGE deal, so don't flame too hard... it's just conversation....
