Bombshell Obama Pastor Video

In order for it to be hypocritical, the situations need to be similar. So, I guess Imus's pastor made racially insensitive remarks about a college women's basketball team. Is that correct?

Have you actually seen the video?

After the videos surfaced, Wright left the committee.

If you've got proof that Obama knew about Wright's video controversial statements before they surfaced, now would be a good time to present it. Not "I think", not "don't you think", not "do the math", or the rest of "skirting the question" non-answers.

Obama himself said he knew of controversial statements. What more do you want?

Please step up to the podium and present your concrete proof. Or as my friend Eclectics so elequently put it "stop circling the airport and land the plane".

Is Obama's word not good enough for you in this instance?

Sidebar: Since the calls for proof came out yesterday, thousands of planes have landed all over the country and millions of people either made their connecting flight or gathered up their luggage and left the airport.

Honestly, this semantic spinning has crossed over into the surreal.

That goes both ways!

And to the rest of the semantics spinners, have fun. I have. :lmao:

Btw, has the "he threw grandma under the bus" talking point petered out or is morphing into "he pushed grandma into a volcano"? :rotfl2:

Don't exclude yourself from the spinners. You've been spinning this with the rest of them.

ETA: My comments in bold.

Neither side is going to agree on this. We all see/hear what we want and for some there is no changing of minds.

At this point, with all of the division among democrats, I believe John McCain will be our next president.

THis is the 600 lb. gorilla in the room.

After all of this is said and done, the winner gets to face John McCain who, after years on the Armed Services Committee and 8 "dog & pony shows", pardon me, fact finding missions to Iraq, still cannot grasp the the idea that Iran's fundamentalist Shiites have nothing to to with Al-Qaeda's fundamentalis Sunni's and Lieberman had to whisper in his ear.

Geez, after 8 "dog & pony shows", pardon me, fact finding missions, you would think he would've found that fundamental fact.

McCain would have trouble beating the ticket of Mouse/Duck.

According to national polls he's beating Obama and Hillary right now. Perhaps the dem should consider the mouse/duck ticket! :thumbsup2

Just posted this, you might have missed it.
http://www.nypost.com/seven/01182008/postopinion/editorials/baracks_un_righteous_rev_760599.htm

On Wednesday, he publicly chastised Wright for his "personal attacks," saying they "have no place in this campaign or our politics"

Do you think the 'personal attacks' were the ones towards Clinton?

Do you think he was aware of this article in the NY Post in Jan? There is a little mention in there about Wrights statement on 'The denunciation of Israel as a "racist" state.'

You're welcome to present your concrete proof along with the rest of them.

Specifically, what controversial statements did Obama hear while he was sitting in the congregation? Or do you think he heard?

Take your time, but not too much time.

Better land that plane fast. It's running out of fuel.

FYI, if Hillary had the concrete proof, she would've presented it by now. ;)

Ah, so your proof is an opinion piece in the Op-Ed section of the New York Post? :lmao:

I'd be happy to oblige you, as seen in this quote from the speech yesterday.

Did I ever hear him make remarks that could be considered controversial while I sat in church? Yes. Did I strongly disagree with many of his political views? Absolutely – just as I’m sure many of you have heard remarks from your pastors, priests, or rabbis with which you strongly disagreed.

Does that not prove that Obama was well aware that the Reverend was a potential liability? Add to that the fact that he "disinvited" him from giving the invocation when he announced his candidacy for President. It all adds up to poor judgment, and judgment is the cornerstone of Obama's campaign.

I'm outta here. I'm racking up too many Purgatory points. Ta ta. :goodvibes

Someone please send up a flair when proof replaces semantics. :lmao:

My proof is that it was an Op-Ed piece in whatever major city and it was two months old. His campaign was either very stupid or they didn't look into the charges. Since these things are availible on DVD and the quotes seem to be true (no one is claiming they were some kinda hollywood miracle) either he's lying or very stupid.

But continue to shoot the messenger (the NY Post :rotfl: ) when they were correct in that story about the guy and see how that helps your case.

Forgive me if I am wrong here. But didn't Obama deny hearing any of these remarks on Friday Night than on Monday said that he did hear them. I think he should have said "Present" and moved on.

Reverend Jeremiah Wright. If you think the way to understand our history is to preach hate and division, then we'll just have to agree to disagree. Wright isn't just speaking to people who experienced what he did, but he's speaking to younger people and passing these feelings of resentment to be carried on by future generations. I can't help but wonder if this is the norm of black churches. I don't want to see a black person and find myself wondering if they view me in such a negative light based on the color of my skin and assumptions they might make about my ancestory. If people start to feel that way, then they will just avoid people who are different.

Obama didn't want to have to give this speech. He wanted to keep race out of the campaign. He is not being sincere that he is using this opportunity to discuss race. He was forced into the conversation in order to do damage control. It was an eloquent and persuasive speech, but devoid of credibility for me based on the fact that he initially lied about being aware of the controversial statements made by Wright. He should have taken this approach from the very beginning when confronted and was giving all those interviews.

Really? Maybe that's why the Rev. gets angry. We owe it to our kids to let them know the good, the bad and the ugly about this nation's history. Too many of them don't know much of it. Heck, I went through high school in the 60's. Would not have heard about the Holocaust were it not for the fact the school had a high percentage of Jewish kids, some of whose parents and grandparents were survivors. When they brought it up in history, the teacher usually said, "well that can't happen here" and then went on to deny the Interment Camps.

If seems contradictory - was it persaussive or not credible?

Bolding mine - words the OP.

WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT??????????? Obama HIMSELF said he was aware. Why is this so difficult? No we do not know what the controversial remarks were but again Obama HIMSELF said he heard him make controversial comments.

Planet Bush certainly loves their Mee-maws, Grannies, and Grandmas. Oh, and they really, really love their Koolaid. Probably because Mee-maw used to make it for them...:rotfl2:

yeah, love my grannie . . . but I still remember her and Grandpop sitting on their porch on March 17th in their orange muttering about thos G-D papists.

I'll just put down WvJules answer which already states what you want.

My comment will be that he says he did not hear these incendiary remarks from these sermons that have been found from going over years of services.
