Bombshell Obama Pastor Video

And again, remember that Obama announced his candidacy in February 2007, and already has clues that Rev. Wright was potential trouble. Obama canceled the Reverend giving the invocation at the event.

You can't prove he didn't lie so I suppose that makes us even.

Let's do some math. There is evidence he told the truth.

A conservative columnist said he had "proof" that Obama was present for the G-D speech. He was forced to retract it when corrected.

What proof is there that Obama was present for any of the circulated sermons? Nothing credible has been produced. Just more belief or disbelief.

Despite this facts, some choose to continue to belive commentators' negative assertions.

I think your excuses box is about empty. It's like a box of cereal. All the good stuff is at the top which leaves the crap at the bottom that nobody eats.

If you truly are a middle aged guy, you would know that the bottom of the box is where you go to find the prize.

I thought the prizes were still at the very bottom...I admit, it's been more than a few years since I rummaged through a Lucky Charms box. :rotfl:

That's just the spin by the media that's trying to crush him.

David Axelrod, Obama’s media adviser and close friend, said with what I assume was a straight face (it was a conference call) that a main reason why Wright did not give the invocation in Springfield was that the temperature outside was too cold.

Why would it matter if he was in a pew during those specific sermons? By his own admission he knew Wright's sermons were controversial, and he knew there was a problem, and still appointed him to his committee.

According to national polls he's beating Obama and Hillary right now. Perhaps the dem should consider the mouse/duck ticket! :thumbsup2

Polls have been notoriously wrong this year....so I wouldn't put a lot of meaning on a poll taken in March for a November election....lots of room for McCain to slip up....in fact did you see the news yeaterday about how three times he made incorrect claims about how Iran is training Al Quaeda....he had to get a little whisper in the ear from Lieberman to fix his boo-boo. McCain's got it easy now....just wait, I'm sure he will insert foot in mouth again!

According to the national polls, Guiliani has a 20% lead on everyone.....Wait, that was 6 months ago.

(when is the presidential election again??)

Miss a day and WOW.

So much I want to say, but just a couple lines from a newspaper piece seem worth posting.

And he got right to the heart of it. He recounted the history of our racial divisions - yes, even back to slavery - but didn't dwell. He called out white people and black people without accusation, in a way that challenged us to acknowledge and understand one another.

And he bore in on those of us who continue to cling to racial stereotypes, who stay stuck in a victim mentality, the counterproductive mindset that one group can move ahead only at the expense of another.

I once asked a colleague whose work and opinion I respect why was it that the room always turned to the black face to offer up an opinion about race. Don't white folks ever think about it?

"Yes," she replied. "But it's fear. If we say what we may be thinking, we're afraid we'll get called racists."

With so much on the line yesterday, Obama spoke for everyone, without fear.

He laid it out for everyone to hear: This is who I am. This is where we are as a nation.

Now, where do we want to be?

My comment will be that he says he did not hear these incendiary remarks from these sermons that have been found from going over years of services.

I think the difference between "incendiary remarks" and "controversial remarks" is in the audience that hears the statements. If the audience agrees with the offensive language it may be deemed controversial within the bounds of that audience. Once said comments are offensive to a large group of people outside of that audience, then it very well may become "incendiary".

You said it was comparing apples to oranges. I was pointing out that it was comparing apples to apples.

'Cuse me - I never said that! I say enough to get myself in trouble, I don't need to have quotes misattributed to me!

I listened to the clips tonight. He said in a nutshell that Jesus was black and lived in an area controlled by the Romans/Italians/Jews (ie. whites).

The guy sounds completely off his rocker.

I thought Jeusus was Jewish?:lovestruc

Respectfully disagree. "Kill the Beast" - disney line - incendiary . . . the mob in in agreement.

Just to be clear, I meant "incendiary" equating to inflammatory. I do think a large segment of society found the preacher's speech to be exactly that.
