Bombshell Obama Pastor Video

Well, gee. I think most people would consider blaming 9-11 on our foreign policy both incendiary and controversial. When did the two become mutually exclusive?

In the interest of friendship, I really wish this was one of those times I could say "you can make this stuff up".

But, I can't because you're not. :lmao:

You would think McCain, who's been to Iraq on 8 fact finding missions, would already know the facts. It's really scary that, nearly 6 years into this war, he can't quite grasp the differences between fundamentalist Shiites and fundamentalist Sunnis. And then his puppeteer has to whisper in his ear "psst, extremists". :lmao:

LuvDuke, now you know better, don't forget about the Kurds, they're well embroiled in this, oh, and Al Qaeda in Iraq, but we already went over this, they're being run out of town by the Iraqi Sunni's... I know it's hard for some to wrap their heads around and all, course the Iraqi Sunni's will go after the Iraqi Kurds and Shiites when they get the chance, can't have a civil war or anything... At least we now know who will be the VP of choice...

I think it's been clearly stated already. Obama originally said he's never heard the things (said by the Rev) being played in news. But he did admit today he heard controversial things (said by the Rev.) he adamantly disagrees with.

You do the math.

More math Charade?

Like the previous mathematical problem you proposed?

Blacks voted for Obama + Obama is black = all blacks voted for Obama because he is black.

Jesus was a pretty controversial guy in his day, and I think what He proposed is still pretty controversial today...just sayin'

And another thing....

Why couldn't he just answer reporters questions about this? Why did he say "wait for the speech"? Can he not just answer a question without a speech? I guess his replies have to be planned out....

Given the subject of the issue - racism, prejudice and bigotry in America - I think it was very wise to wait. The reporters and bloggers would have spun it six ways from Sunday if there were not a large number of "regular" people who heard it.

I heard this on talk radio last night. Why does Obama's pastor get a free pass and Don Imus does not. I don't agree with Imus's statement and he deserved what he got. However Obama did have a strong statement with regards to Imus and Obama's Staff.

"I understand MSNBC has suspended Mr. Imus," Obama told ABC News, "but I would also say that there's nobody on my staff who would still be working for me if they made a comment like that about anybody of any ethnic group. And I would hope that NBC ends up having that same attitude."

So who are you comparing to Jesus, Obama or Wright?

I give this new angle a 8 for originality, a 10 for entertainment value, a 9 for effort, and a 5 for sense making.

Let me give it a whirl: Because Wright doesn't work for Obama and isn't on his staff? Duh.

I really would've thought the Planet Bush collective hissy fit would've been over by now with the realization "they're only preaching to the choir".

Ah, the gift that keeps on giving. :lmao:

But didn't Wright hold a position in Obama's campaign on the Spiritual Advisory Committee? So Obama did have someone appointed by him and working for him that held racist views, whether he was actually a paid staffer or not, he was still on staff. According to Obama's own speech yesterday, Barak did indeed know of this Wright's theologies and prejudices prior to that appointment. Doesn't that make this statement, then by Obama an untruth?

"...but I would also say that there's nobody on my staff who would still be working for me if they made a comment like that about anybody of any ethnic group. And I would hope that NBC ends up having that same attitude."

Especially since he was appointed to that position after some of these statements were already made?

When you're running for political office on the premise of having better judgment, and then you look close and see the his actions of the recent past, including Wright and Rezko don't you then question that judgment?

I think your excuses box is about empty. It's like a box of cereal. All the good stuff is at the top which leaves the crap at the bottom that nobody eats.

Yeah...I believe Wright got paid about the same as Fararro did for working on the Clinton campaign. And when she said personal things about Obama the world was about to end. The personal things Wright said about Clinton in that vid were reported in the NY Post in Jan. Now of course you couldn't expect Obama to know about that and there is no proof anyone in his campaign read it. But they did find the Fararro quote in a small local California paper...

I just watched the video of Obama being interviewed about Imus' racist remarks. I guess Obama thought Imus should be fired for it. I find it so hypocritical.

In order for it to be hypocritical, the situations need to be similar. So, I guess Imus's pastor made racially insensitive remarks about a college women's basketball team. Is that correct?

Neither side is going to agree on this. We all see/hear what we want and for some there is no changing of minds.

At this point, with all of the division among democrats, I believe John McCain will be our next president.

After the videos surfaced, Wright left the committee.

If you've got proof that Obama knew about Wright's video controversial statements before they surfaced, now would be a good time to present it. Not "I think", not "don't you think", not "do the math", or the rest of "skirting the question" non-answers.

Please step up to the podium and present your concrete proof. Or as my friend Eclectics so elequently put it "stop circling the airport and land the plane".

Sidebar: Since the calls for proof came out yesterday, thousands of planes have landed all over the country and millions of people either made their connecting flight or gathered up their luggage and left the airport.

Honestly, this semantic spinning has crossed over into the surreal.

And to the rest of the semantics spinners, have fun. I have. :lmao:

Btw, has the "he threw grandma under the bus" talking point petered out or is morphing into "he pushed grandma into a volcano"? :rotfl2:

Obama = NBC
Wright = Imus

Similar situation, different expectations from Obama.
