Bombshell Obama Pastor Video

Well, when he gets elected, more people will be able to afford higher education. That $4000 credit and easier financial aid application will open a lot more doors for a lot more kids. :thumbsup2

Carry on with the outrage....

Actually, every time government gets involved in higher education, tuition goes up. That $4000 will be something that all colleges and universities will take into account when they raise tuition. They will feel a sense of entitlement that a greater portion of that is theirs and not the students. My guess is that the tuition increases will eat up 99% of those "credits" that the rest of us will pay for and the net cost to students and parents will be essentially the same or $4000 more for those who exceed the income levels.

I don't see it.....He was just stating the truth....
The white man has always controlled the power and the money in this country...Blacks are still discriminated....and he was stating how
"hillary" or any white person for that matter....wouldn't have any idea how much racism is still alive.
Why is that so bad to say....when it is just a fact.:confused3

There are plenty of wealthy black people in this country....lots of black athletes and entertainers. The rappers (of all colors) showing their "bling" and their "cribs". They say that money is power, so I guess they have money and power.
I don't know that many run for office though. Why? maybe its just too much of a pain. I wouldn't want to.

Anybody that puts in the hard work required for success will obtain success. But why bother when its easier to whine about what one doesn't have and how its all uphill "for me"? And that goes for all colors of skin. If it hurts, its because its true.

How about Colin Powell? Was he also a puppet?

Why don't you google "black politicians." You'd be amazed at what you find.

Add Michael Steele and JC Watts to the list, the list is long but then, they won't count because they are "conservatives". ;)

Fair enough-then where does your candidate of choice attend church and what messages is he hearing from his pastor? Shouldn't you know that before you vote?

McCain is an Episcopalian I believe, (Catholic light). I am sure that if he were hearing anti American, hate filled, campaigning from the pulpit, it would have been on the front page of the NYT.

Sorry...I'll slink guiltily away now and leave you all to your outrage.

If you feel the need to slink, be my guest. :lmao:

See my little laughing guy there. I posted a nasty comment and put him in there, and that makes it A-OK. :thumbsup2 Right?

And Black men wouldn't have a clue what it is like to be a woman. Although I am sure it would never occur to Obama's minister, White women still face discrimination. They may not get called n****r, but they are called other lovely names.

Note to racist minister: Black MEN got the right to vote in America FIFTY YEARS before women, even though women were instrumental in the anti-slavery movement. Talk about a slap in the face. But women know nothing about being treated like second class citizens, right? :sad2: Has anyone ever heard Hillary Clinton tell about wanting to be an astronaut as a little girl and when she wrote to NASA for info about the program she received a reply informing her that the astronaut program did not accept women? :headache: That wasn't that long ago.

I'm sure Obama's myopic minister would never be able to wrap his head around any White woman facing discrimination, because their lives are so perfect......:rolleyes1 All Black women, on the other hand, must face it every day, in his mind. I mean, look how terribly oppressed Michelle Obama is. ;)

Ah that would have helped me 20 years ago. I was just about 4 g's shy of getting in to Harvard (well their cafeteria anyway). And I didn't know anyone.

I think these vids will get plenty of airtime between now and Penn. If it's not a big issue except for people who wouldn't vote for him anyway, then he doesn't have to do anything between now and then, right? Penn is a closed state only open to Dems so there can't be any claims of rigging the vote.

If he loses big it might be an indication this will be a big issue in the general and even in some of the upcoming primary states that are open across parties. If he gets it close and there isn't a new vid next week of HC killing someone with her bare hands and ripping their heart out (the way this election is going, who knows?) this prob. won't be that big of a factor in the general. All the posts and threads on the DIS aren't going to change things.

Exactly! Seriously, it's so laughable that people think that blacks aren't pulled over by cops for the color of their skin in this country, or cabs pass them by, or are still called the "n" word by bigots. Well, it would be laughable if it weren't so sad.

Now, no clergy should be promoting a candidate in a house of worship like that--it isn't right. But honestly, apart from that, what's the big deal everybody? From what I was reading, I thought I was going to get a completely different message from that video.

maybe "blacks" are pulled over for the color of their skin because the "cops" are looking for someone that has commited a crime and they fit the description?

Maybe cabs do pass "blacks" by because of the reputation, deserved or undeserved, that "blacks" have in certain communities? They probably pass by the whites in long black trench coats with "goth" painted all over them too.

And maybe "blacks" are called the "n" word. Gays are called the "f" word. Overweights are called "fatso" and cops are called "pigs". cry me a river.

Heaven forbid that the problem is identified!! Then it may be resolved!! Oh no! What will you whine about then?

I have to agree here. Several years ago, the adoption tax credit went up from (I believe) $5000 to $10,000. Potential adoptive parents (PAPS) were thrilled. A few PAPS had accurately predicted what would happen, however. They said, "Within a few months....a year at most....of the tax credit increasing by an extra $5000, agency adoption fees will also mysteriously increase by $5000." Bingo, bango! The Amazing Kreskin called it! The only PAPS to really benefit were the ones who adopted in that window of time after the newly increased tax credit took effect, but before the agencies jacked up their fees.

How did these prophets know what would happen? Well, when the first adoption tax credit went into effect (the original $5000) it seems agency fees mysteriously increased by about $5000 within a year. Funny how that happens........:rolleyes1

Somehow, some way, the universities will increase tuition and fees by $4000 in a relatively short time. Hide and watch. Unless a tuition and fees freeze is mandated, this will happen, as sure as God made little green apples. I don't like it, but I think the handwriting is on the wall.

You are 100% correct. This is nothing but an indirect subsidy to colleges. The same thing happened when student loans became more affordable.

And I don't know whether its been mentioned further into this thread, but some of his preaching included a lot of negative language against the Clintons and the United Church of Christ is wondering why the IRS is looking and listening? :confused3 Its my denomination but some of his sermons sounded like campaign speeches.

ABSOLUTELY. Wright is not preaching religion -- he preaches POLITICS.

Add Condoleeza Rice to this list -- and those are the people Wright has called sell outs. :confused3 Then -- why is Obama different is Wright's perception?

Just a note about the bolded part. I work in Student Services of a community college and deal a lot with financial aid. This very well could cause tuition to rise as it is going to cause more work to be done on the part of the financial aid office in each college. There is more to financial aid than what is on a tax form. Every student has a different circumstance and the current form covers only some of those. This is just going to make the process take longer as students have to fill out other forms and provide the school's financial aid office with paperwork to give the needed information. It would make it "easier" on one end and more complicated on the other.

Good point.

What about Obama? Isn't he in the same class as Condi and Colin. Very interesting.

Every time one gets a credit on their taxes the cost of that item increases. This is just a way for the taxpayer to transfer money to big business.

Hey, they're ALL true so I don't know what the big deal is or why people are shocked.

(that's according to a few other posters, not me)

But let's assume they are true. Obama has had a long intimate relationship with this pastor. He married them. He baptized their babies. He's Barack's spiritual guide. The Obama's have (as of 2006) donated $22,500 to the church. Michele Obama's thesis and recent comments reinforce the pastors comments. I can only come to the conclusion that the Obama's support the beliefs of this pastor to some degree.
:thumbsup2

a) Obama has already said those views don't represent his in early 2007 (and any sane person can tell you that)
b) he is no longer the pastor of Obama's church
pretty convenient now, though don't you think?

:thumbsup2

pretty convenient now, though don't you think?

Really -- I don't think any thing Obama can say at this point can negate the damage done. People that are devotee of his are going to vote for him regardless of his affilitation with this church. Other people are going to see that any renunciation at this point by Obama is just for political expediency. The fact that he has stated that Wright's beliefs are not his -- has little weight -- what is he going to do -- say he believes it.
As others have stated, if he didn't buy this garbage, he wouldn't have stuck around for 20 years.

I am a catholic in the boston Archdiocese.....should i be held accountable for the opinions of every priest and archbishop in my archdiocese....The man is entitled to his opinion, and should not be deemed to speak for Obama....even though he is 100% correct....i mean was not ted haggard, the meth smoking, gay prostitute soliciting preacher not a supporter of GWB

Try to have it both ways much?

BTW, this haggard guy you speak of is not a personal advisor to GWB, did not baptise GWB, did not marry GWB, nor is he a personal friend.

This Jerimiah White dude is an extremist nut of the worst kind.
