Well, when he gets elected, more people will be able to afford higher education. That $4000 credit and easier financial aid application will open a lot more doors for a lot more kids.![]()

Actually, every time government gets involved in higher education, tuition goes up. That $4000 will be something that all colleges and universities will take into account when they raise tuition. They will feel a sense of entitlement that a greater portion of that is theirs and not the students. My guess is that the tuition increases will eat up 99% of those "credits" that the rest of us will pay for and the net cost to students and parents will be essentially the same or $4000 more for those who exceed the income levels.
