Bomas for Kids? Dinner & Breakfast

Is Boma's a good choice for children (ages 8 & 3 1/2)...we will be staying 2 nights at AKL and have PS for both dinner (arrival day) and breakfast the next morning........I have heard there might be problems if you have picky eaters, which I do...what are your thoughts?


What are the typical selections for children at dinner and breakfast?

Also..is there a quick place to get breakfast at AKL? thanks!

There's also a fast food place called Mara in AKL. I've never been so I can't speak for the food.

We have been to Boma for both breakfast and dinner and my picky son had no trouble eating there. He was 8 when we went for breakfast and the restaurant has the usual breakfast items along with more exotic offerings. I would think that if your kids like breakfast foods that they should be able to eat this meal.

Dinner is a little more exotic but even so my son ate without a problem this year now that he's 10. You might check out wdwig.com to see if there's any detail about buffet offerings.

We were just there. If you have picky children you may be paying a high price for them not to eat anything. I don't know the kids price offhand, but it is a buffet and one price - not ala carte. DH & I had dinner there one night and we sent the kids to Simba's cubhouse. There were LOTS of families with children there so they found something to eat. Our DD4 would have found something to eat, but DS8 (the picky one) wouldn't have.

Mara's is almost around the corner from Boma's and we ate there several times with the kids since they had fries and pizza. It's a food-court type place. Decent food tho. Check out www.wdwig.com for the menus.
