Boma

I just finished making my ADR for Dec. 22-25. Got Le Cellier, Boma, Liberty Tree Tavern, and Hollywood & Vine with no problems.

However, I just realized that Boma is not inside AK but is in the lodge. How difficult will it be to leave AK and go to the AKL? The way I booked our dinners we will visit each park one day and eat before we leave except for AK.

We've done this several times. You just need to take the bus from AK to Animal Kingdom Lodge. I think you need to allow about half an hour. You'll be early if a bus picks you up right away, but the Lodge is fun to look around.

The harder part is getting back to your hotel. AK closes early so you can't go back there. We've gotten on DTD buses and then transferred or gotten on a MK bus and transferred at MK.

Another option for getting back to your resort after dinner at Boma would be to take a cab. It will cost a few dollars, but will be much quicker than a bus trip with a transfer.

It is fairly quick to get from AK to the Lodge and you shouldn't have a problem. Around 5 minutes once the bus leaves. Boma is downstairs at AKL and we love to eat there.

Having eaten at Boma many times and then having to take a bus to DTD or one of the parks, it can save a lot time by taking a cab. For us it's worth a few extra dollars.
