BOMA - shall we do breakfast or dinner?

Read many good reviews about BOMA. We would like to dine there (and visit AKL) with our 3-year-old. Shall we go for a early breakfast (before visiting AK), or a dinner?

Does Boma offer any views of animals (if we request window seat)?

Boma is only open for breakfast and dinner. To my knowledge, there is no view of the animals from the restaurant.

No views from the restaurant, but you can walk right outside and head to the Savannah. Just arrive early and go animal watching beforehand!

Oops...that was a typo - no corrected :teeth:

Just wanted to compare the food/atmosphere between breakfast or dinner. I have booked quite a few restaurants so far - Ohana's, Coral Reef, H&V....

Any comments?

'Ohana - lots of good food, especially the shrimp and potatoes. They also have games for the little ones and a Polynesian singer to keep things lively. From what I've been reading, service there has been sluggish lately, which was the case when we visited last month.

Coral Reef - beautiful restaurant, decent food. Some people prefer to sit next to the tank. Personally, I think the view is better on the upper levels. Your little one might enjoy being near the tank, though.

No comment on H&V as I have never eaten there.

Boma was one of my favourite breakfasts. It was very yummy, and it was nicer to appreciate the resort in the daylight. :thumbsup2

We didn't love Boma for dinner, but I think it's because our ressie was too late, and we were tired. I am going to try it again!

I would definitely recommend breakfast, and hopefully someone else will give you their opinion on dinner.

MY choice would be Boma for breakfast and Jiko for dinner! Their filet with macaroni and cheese is AMAZING!!

Last year we did both (on different days, and on our AK day), and enjoyed both meals.

For us, dinner worked out best - we felt we missed some early park time with breakfast. DD also enjoyed seeing the giraffes being fed before our dinner - we walked out to see them before our ADR time. We didn't check on the animals when we had breakfast.

We'll be having dinner at Boma on our AK day next month. :)
