Boma Reservation?

Boma and AK Pros…

If I have an 11am reservation for the Rhino tour, what time should my Boma reservation be for?
Is 9am enough time to eat breakfast and get over to AK and to the safari area by 11am?

yes but tight and depends how much you like to rush your breaky. You should check in at least 15 mins before the actual tour.
So either book breaky for 830, or even try Tusker house for breaky and you would be right there. Not the same but close.

Never been to either, but Boma is the one I always hear about and not a character fan.
I almost want to cancel my rhino tour instead of eat earlier. lol

I’m afraid I must agree, Boma at 8:30 or breakfast at Tusker House. At TH you can tell your server you’d prefer the characters to bypass your table, and they’ll do that, no problem. The food is similar but not identical.

I have to agree on 830. While the bus ride is about 5 minutes there is waiting for the bus? The walk from the bus entering the park and walking through the park… Maybe not you but rushing with a full stomach especially if it is a hot day doesn’t sound enjoyable. A Buffet of any sort is reserved for a non park day or a park we plan on having a close air conditioned show to Take a nap.

That rhino tour is so hard to get ... no way I'd cancel that for food.

I’ve seen it before, but I just use the “Stakeout” app, so I get notifications every time a slot opens up.

Don't give up the rhino tour, it was awesome, and I think it's only offered one day a week! I think a 9am ADR would work. Boma's a buffet, so just monitor your time carefully. After you eat you still need to get to the bus stop, get to AK, into the park, and to the Safari area, and you'll need to check in at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour. I'd think leaving Boma by 945 at the very latest still gives you enough time to get to the rhino tour (but if it were me, I'd try for something closer to 830, just so I could relax a bit).

Sorry, I misunderstood. When I took the tour I thought they said they only offered it on Wednesdays, but looking on the Disney website it says they offer it once a day.

Reporting that Boma experience best since covid a little more spicy for vegetables like how it used to be. Pepper on asparagus and grilled tomatoes in a new spot in line better than ever. Chefs rocked it today according to 5, some of which don't like spicy. I just do protein and veg/fruit but carb guys loved it too.
