I am sure some just want to try the different menu, and be waited on at dinner. and for awhile it's going to be extremely popular...so if you want dinner, you'll need a reservation most likely.
I want to try it for dinner. Since that means TS that means I need an ADR just like every place else in MK. I want to try and CS for lunch too but not this next trip. Since it is a different menu and different experience I don't think CS would take the place of a dinner TS but that is me.
I prefer the dinner menu. I arrive in WDW on Dec 6, so I doubt there will be any time that the lunch lines will be short for my stay!!! Now, who knows if I'll be able to snag a dinner ADR. If I don't, it won't be the end of the world.
I know I wouldn't even attempt counter service when we go in December because I would imagine the lines would be insane. It would be an ADR for table service or nothing for us.
I wouldn't dream of attempting the long lines for CS for the first few months. If then. I like the look of the dinner menu. I prefer a TS for dinner. And a walkup for dinner is an impossibility. Hence the ADR. Seems like a nobrainer to me.
