If you are in a Disney hotel, you can take a fastpass for BOG lunch. The average wait in line depends of the day you are going to BOG and time.

Right- no ressies for lunch. That is because BOG is counter service at lunch. (Dinner is table service.)
As the PP stated, if you stay at a Disney resort, you can get a FastPass for BOG lunch.

Can your FP+ party include people who are not staying on property? I'm going in Oct. with a couple friends...they are staying at the Boardwalk, we're staying at the Swan - I'd love to check out BoG for lunch especially if they can add us to a FP+.

When I was making our FP+ for BOG the other day, it only gave me the option to get a FP for the people that were on our room reservation. I couldn't even add my sister and her husband, even though they are staying at the same resort as we are.

I missed my BOG FP on Staurday because we switched parks, but on Sunday I just decided to get in the line. I recommend you get there early. They open at 10:30, which is when I got in line, which reached to teh end of the bridge. It took 20 to 30 minutes to get through the line. The food comes very quickly once you get a seat.

We did lunch here last summer. The line seemed pretty long, but moved very quickly. I don't think we waited more than 15 minutes in line. I don't know if I would use up a FP for it.
The funny think about our lunch was that we walked around looking at all the rooms carrying that flower they give you. As soon as we sat down a server was putting down our food. She must have been following us through the rooms. I said. "Oh, no! You must have been following us around. I didn't realize how it worked, I am so sorry. I thought it would take longer for the food to come out for sure." She said, "oh, that's okay." I was thinking we needed to put up a visual, (like at Ghiradellis in DTD when we sat) And the way she said it told me she HAD been following us. And there we were, just taking a look around. Of course, she did assure me that it was just a magical castle and that is how the food comes to you as soon as you sit down!

we got an email about a new test last week, inviting us to fastpass lunch. We got to choose a time and our meals already. So the way the email read was we show up, scan our bands and go have a seat and our food will be promptly delivered. This did not count towards our normal fastpasses.

thank you for the information...so you get a flower to take to your table, what is that for exactly? we are staying at all star sports so we can get a FP and it does not take away one of our 3 for that day/park?

The magical rose is the way the server finds you ( whichever room you are in and your table ) no it does not count against your other FP+

As PP said, you can book only for people on your room reservation. My problem was, we have 3 rooms, so, I couldn't get FP reservations at the same time. I have 11-11:30, 11:40-12:10, 10:55-11:25. I am hoping if we go at 11:25, which is at the end of 2 of them, but 15 minutes before the 3rd one, it won't be a problem. It would be nice if your reservations are linked together on MDE that you could make the FP at the same time!

We will find out in a few weeks!!
