We're leaving tomorrow and I just snatched a BOG dinner reservation for our trip! However, we were planning on doing lunch there and wouldn't want to do both. Which one did you prefer at BOG - lunch, or dinner? Thanks in advance! :thumbsup2pixiedust:

The experience is pretty close, I preferred the lunch menu. If I were you I'd base it on the menu and what is more appealing. Unless of course gig just have to see beast!! He walks through during dinner and takes photos in the library.

Had BOG lunch with FP on 12/17. It was fun to be able to dine inside, but the food was terrible. I had the Croque Monsieur and it was a grilled ham and cheese sandwich with 3 slices of square deli ham that was cold and swiss cheese. It had a béchamel sauce that was ok, but the sandwich was cold. The fries were also cold and tasted like they were cooked some time ago. My daughter had the braised pork. She liked the vegetables, but the pork was bland and tough. We did enjoy the dessert. I had the lemon meringue cupcake and daughter had the Masters. Both were good. I will not eat there again, but did enjoy seeing inside the castle. I would not go through too much effort to eat lunch there.

We liked lunch. It had enough 'upscale counter food,' for my two picky eaters - and one adventurous one.

The food delivery was FAST - and we all loved the ham. Our favorite part of that lunch. Trying dinner this spring.

I preferred dinner, but I enjoyed doing both. In fact we had lunch there 2x and dinner 1x. Dinner at BOG was by far our favorite meal of our last trip.

The FP+ is generally only available 2-3 weeks ahead of time; and to answer the OP question, we went twice for dinner and once for lunch, and we enjoyed it each time. If the idea of having wine or champagne or beer in the MK appeals to you, do the dinner - but get the french fries (well done if you like them that way) on the side because they are delicious. My chicken-eating 8 year old DD prefers the chicken at dinner to anything on the lunch menu, fwiw.

It's BOG! It's beautiful! The lunch and dinner menu are different. Do a lunch and dinner! Enjoy! :goodvibes

I am in the same boat and also can't decide. We had lunch there last year and it was fine, liked the atmosphere and it is so much more upscale for counter service, I couldn't give up the FP+ opportunity. I am feeling underwhelmed to eat there for dinner.

I guess I just worry about limited fast passes-we used to rock that system like nobody's business! ;) Not sure how I'll handle 3 a day! And at the same time, I'm trying to stick to fewer dinner ADRs, because I'm not sure how my will-be-2 year old will handle late park days. Ohhh decisions

I will take the other side of this: We ate at BoG for both lunch and dinner this past week and we won't be going back anytime soon. We felt it was badly overrated. Lunch was just plain silly with how chaotic it was trying to find a table, trying to find napkins, and just the atmosphere overall. Dinner wasn't much better. We felt that the food is not much better than quick service. If we have to eat in the park I think we will stick with Cosmic Rays for quick service, and I suppose Tony's for full service.

We 'loved' our BOG lunches - have eaten there three trips - the braised pork and french onion soup is wonderful. The ambiance is great, and unlike pp we had no problems choosing whichever room we wanted to dine in, and the utensils and napkins were in very handy places.

Is a 'must do' lunch every trip. We walked around after eating and enjoyed each room.

We did not get desserts - were not appealing - plus we prefer to wait an hour or so and pick one elsewhere in the parks. So many others that we enjoy more.
