Okay here's the things. We're staying at GF (three small children). We have a PS for a carriage ride at POR for 8:00, it's on a Friday so hoping after carriage ride to go to River Roost Lounge to see Bob Jackson. I figured we would take the monorail to MK and hop a bus for POR. I made a PS for 6:20 at Boatwrights thinking it would be easier to just eat dinner there, and maybe see some of the resort before our PS. I haven't heard much about Boatwrights for dinner (only breakfast). Anyone eat there recently? I'm not looking for the best dinner of our trip there, but just good food in a semi nice atmosphere. Should I make a PS somewhere else and just taxi to POR for carriage ride. I really wanted to check out POR because it seems so pretty and relaxing. HELP!

we ate there several years ago. the food is good, but not the best at wdw. LOL!! go; y'all will have a great time! :earboy2:

We had dinner there a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. There were 6 of us and everyone tried something different. Good basic food. Mashed potatoes were great. Pot roast, chicken, steak and meatloaf were all tasty. It's not an upscale restaurant but we wouldn't hesitatate going back for a "homecooked" type of meal. It was crowded but we were there at Easter. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a PS and others were told 1 hour, so allow plenty of time. It's very nice to walk around the resort. Have fun.

That's really all we were looking for. A good home style meal. I think that will be perfect for us. A nice dinner, time to look at the resort, carriage ride and Bob Jackson. It will be a nice change from the hustle and bustle of the parks.

We had dinner there last week and my husband said the ribs were excellent! I had the salmon which was the special of the day and it was good, not great.
