Does anyone know the approximate number of each type of standard view rooms? If you call for a ressie on the first day you can, are you very likely, likely, or is it a draw that you will be able to get standard view, and the lower number of points, before Christmas.

Thankfully, I realized that if we have to get preferred view, we only have to shorten the trip by 1 night, that has taken a lot of worry off my mind. I cannot mention these things to any of the guests or family, they already think I've spent too much time on it, and I probably have.

If you call day by day at the 11 month window for your reservation, you are very likely to get your standard view room. Call as soon as MS opens (9:00 AM Eastern). I have done this many times for early December reservations and have never failed to secure a standard view. Not once did I have to use the waitlist.

If you do not call day by day right at 9 am when the 11 month window first opens, it is possible that you will need to use the waitlist to get a standard view. As you know, early December is very, very popular. Sometimes a BWV stasndard view waitlist will come through, but you can't count on it.

Good luck!

CarolMG, it is your experience that helps, thank you. Calling at 9 at 11 monts out, is what I intend to do.

definitely - I just make my Thanksgiving reservations that way - day by day (when I could) and I got my standard view....

I generally don't have a choice - I only have 50 points at BWV so if I don't get standard view - I don't know if I would stay at BWV.

Of course since the new BW views only opened - I am thinking about them - yes you would stay one day less - and they are noiser - but with certain people that could be great!

Here are the % MS has sent me They refuse to put real numbers to it and you'll note some slight descrepencies, but it is close enough

BWV
97 Dedicated Studios
130 Dedicated 1Bdrm
0 Dedicated 2Bdrm - 149 Lockoffs
7 Grand Villas = 383 Units / 532 Max. Available Rooms

Standard View
Studios 22% of total 241 studios
One Bedrooms 23% of 272 total one bedrooms
Two Bedrooms 25% of 145 two bedrooms

The breakdown for Boardwalk view homes is as follows:
Studios-23% of total studios have a Boardwalk view.
One Bedrooms-12% of total One Bedrooms have a Boardwalk view.
Two Bedrooms-13% of total Two Bedrooms have a Boardwalk view.
Grand Villas-100% of total Grand Villas have a Boardwalk view.

Thank you Sandy, BWV is larger than I imagined, and I appreciate the totals. That puts things in perspective for me.

The information I have for BWV shows the following:

Dedicated Studios 15 SV + 82 PV = 97
Dedicated 1 Bdrm 23 SV + 107 PV = 130
Lockoff 2 Bdrm 37 SV + 112 PV = 149
Grand Villas 7 PV = 7

Total 75 SV + 308 PV = 383 Units
112SV + 420 PV = 532 Rooms

The Standard View Percentages for these numbers come close to Sandy's.
52/246 = 21.13% Studios
60/279 = 21.50% 1Bdrm
37/149 = 24.83% 2Bdrm

75/308 = 24.35% Overall Units
