Hello everybody,
I'm just getting back on the forum after taking a break from WDW. We've been to Disney World more than a dozen times, but our last stay was in December 2012. I've decided to surprise my sister and 2 nieces with a trip in December of 2018 and this will be our first time at the Boardwalk Inn. We are staying in a Deluxe club level room and I've been reading a lot of comments on the boards that these rooms are very inconvenient to get to/from. We always have stayed at yacht and Beach club and honestly have had rooms at the far ends of each resort that were quite a hike from the lobbies. Can anyone who has stayed BWI club level give me their opinions on just how difficult it is to reach the Innkeepers lounge and Deluxe rooms? Thanks for reading through this long winded post lol.

Deluxe rooms are not inconvenient at all. There are five on the third floor and five on the fourth floor. The lounge is located on the fourth floor. The third floor rooms have bigger balconies and a quick trip up the back stairs gets you easily to the lounge. We love the deluxe rooms and have stayed on both floors. The cast members are the best and will make your stay very enjoyable.:sunny:

Thank you! Your answer leads me to my next question lol. Which did you prefer, the bigger balcony on the 3rd floor or being on the same floor as the lounge?? Trying to decide which to request, pretty sure I want to request over the bakery.

I preferred the bigger balcony. The walk to the lounge was not bad at all.

You are staying at my favorite resort! We love the deluxe rooms at the BWI. The Innkeepers club is not that far from the lobby and the deluxe rooms on the fourth floor are a very short stroll to the lounge. The choice of larger balcony on the third floor or being on the same floor as the lounge was something we went back and forth on a lot but were very happy being on the fourth floor. Two people can comfortable sit on the balcony on the fourth floor and we loved being so close to the lounge. The CL CM are the best at Disney IMHO and you will have a great time. Make sure you use the back staircase to get down to the quiet pool. Just walk past the lounge and keep heading down the hall and you will see the door on the right that will take you down to the garden cottages and the pool. Have fun!

I have not stayed in a BWI Deluxe Room, but my DW did earlier this year. She was on the third floor. Her initial reaction was that she didn’t like the room location relative to the lounge at all - she thought it was very confusing to find her way around and it was a long/windy route. Once she found the back/secret stairway, she said it was dramatically better. Ultimately she was fine with it once she found that stairway.

Here are some pics if helpful! Note it was the Princess Half weekend, hence the runners in that last two pics.

@Eastern and @Disneytam thank you so much for Sharing your experiences. @Eastern, did you find the noise level any worse on the 3rd floor vs the 4th floor? @Disneytam, other than the staircase to the quiet pool, are there any "back" stairs that allow you to exit closer to the EPCOT / ESPN side of the resort?

We LOVE BWI and BWV. Stayed in a regular CL room BWI with a partial BW view. It was great!

The lounge is very nice, great CM's and pretty good offerings. The potato soup is fantastic, DD and I would get it every night that it was available.

Kms943-to answer your question we are happy with either floor. The larger balcony is nice but the 4th floor balconies still fit two people comfortably and definitely can fit four people on it as well. Noise level I would say is the same. Some people complain about Boardwalk view noise levels but to me it is part of the ambiance, especially the boat horns and music.:cloud9:

I did not find the noise to be bothersome. If anything, we were the noisy ones talking and clapping on our balcony when we saw some of the performers on the boardwalk (we had a good view).

Sorry no. You have to go back to the lobby to get back out to the boardwalk.
