Does anyone know if the Boardwalk's Grand Villas are availbale for cash reservations, and if so, what do they go for per night? pj

MS has told me that all BW views, including the GVs at BWV, are reserved exclusively for points reservations.

This is correct - I just confirmed it with MS. You can book Preferred and Standard at BWV with cash, but BW view is points ony.

Well, apparently, there are prices posted for BWV GVs. I checked my favorite authority on room prices, Deb Wills' allearsnet.com, and saw that GV nightly rental prices are as follows for 2007: Value Season: $1,440; Regular Season: $1,645; Peak Season: $1,850; Holiday Season: $2,090.

I don't know under what circumstances they might become available for rental by the General Public, but I can imagine a few (room unrented for points but perhaps within the 30 day mark, owner exchanged out lots and lots of points...). I suspect that these would be thru CRO and not Member Services.

Interestingly, I had been told by MS that BW View and Standard View were both reservable only with Points; so the only rooms you can rent for cash would be the Preferred Pool/Garden views.
YMMV

If you do call to ask, report back. It's always good to hear the answer again for confirmation.

I was wondering this same question for a Beach Cottage at VB?!? ...but that should be another thread.

I know you did say S?B another thread but I tried to get a BC for agust with split stay cash and points and couldn't do it at the 11 month window BUT I do know they can be had for cash. Last August I could have had the BC for $771 per night (per front desk inquiry at check in).

Are all Boardwalk Grand villas boardwalk view? Maybe the cash prices are for preferred view GV?

I just had a Standard View room and paid CASH for the first night , and points the rest of them time.

I was told you can not get a members cash discount for a standard view room but could with a preferred view.

We've booked a BW Grand Villa for an upcoming trip and were told they were all boardwalk view. Some are one story and some are two.

I just reserved one night at a Grand villa at BW for cash for our upcoming trip in March. I originally had 3 nights at Vero 2 night at OKW 2 nights at BWV. I decided to spend the extra points and go ahead and do 4 nights at the boardwalk. Wednesday Friday and Saturday nights were available with points.. I was able to book Thursday with cash and linke the ressies together. I'm wait listed for thursday night on points. If anyone out there has a GV at BWV reserved for march please cancel tomorrow :)
