Boardwalk Construction?

I'm new to these forums. BWV is our home resort, and we are trying to firm up our next trip (week after Thanksgiving). We bought at BWV and never looked back, love the place. But this year I'm worried about the construction. Has anyone been? Anyone know the extent of the repiping? Does it affect the Villas?

During our trip last July the work was underway but it didn't affect us or the Boardwalk.

Any recent observations or knowledge about the duration would be greatly appreciated.

Just back from last week. Never saw or heard construction going on. It must be being done in limited areas at a time. You should be fine. We had a great time.

Just wanted to say WELCOME to the DIS Boards!

I do think Disney tries hard to keep construction/refurbishment noise to a minimum, and relegate it to daytime hours when most people are in the parks.

We were there for a week at the beginning of June. I never saw or heard a thing while in the villas. That's not to say they were out of sight, but the construction is definitely confined to isolated areas.

Ditto the above....just got back last night from BWV and did not see or hear any construction.

We were there from 05/29 through 06/06 and never heard any noise. The only thing that was going on during that week was the installation of several several new dishwashers on our floor.

We were there 2 weeks ago. If there was construction going on, it sure was well hidden. We didn't see any construction at all.

I was there May 12-19 this year. They were working right outside our room during that whole time. It did not disturb us in the least. Heard some power tools a couple of times.

The construction crew were very curteous with all the guests traversing the corridors. I believe the note that we were given at check-in stated that pipe work was limited to 9am to 5pm. They were really no bother at all.

We will be at BWVs 6/23 and I spoke with a CM today asking about this very issue since my DH had major concerns. I was assured by the CM that the construction was solely at the hotel portion and did not affect the Villas.
