Oh, I would have loved to have someone cheering me on :rotfl: That is awesome you are using them too! I am excited to have someone other than DPS, just to have a variety in the pics I get!

I can't believe how close your wedding is now, hon! I'm soooo so excited for you! It's going to be amazing! :goodvibes OH, and I LOVE that Vinylmation guest book idea. I tried to talk DF into it, but he'd have none of it... Lol!

We don't have anything mickey-ish (besides the chocolate place cards) so we thought it was a good idea! We would definitely not bring it to our @ home reception!

Love the vinylmation mickey for the guest book. How neat! I can't believe it's less than a month. I have to say I can't wait to see the TTD photos. I've never really seem them done before.

Thank you for the great idea for the Vinylmation - I honestly never heard of it before!

I'm glad everyone likes the vinylmation! I think it will go over well!

I have a question for everyone...

DF and I were thinking of doing gift bags (welcome/favours) at the Attic, that would contain small items for everyone, and bigger gifts for the bridal party. However, now I am thinking maybe that looks rude, and I shouldn't give everyone different gifts? Also, I am concerned about getting all the stuff to WDW

All I was going to put in each bag was a mickey treat (picked up from DTD) a disney pez (already bought) and perhaps a few other things I may find before I go. I was than going to add necklaces in the girls bags, steins in the guys bags, and shot glasses in all bridal party bags.

Do you think I should still do this, or perhaps give just the bridal party their gifts at a separate time? And if so, when?

We chose not to do gifts at all for our guests...and I don't think anyone missed them.

As for our bridal party...we didn't worry about it since our Best Man's gift was bought ahead of time (his suit and new golf shoes) and Moh was her dress, breakfast, manicure and hair done the day of the wedding. If you have actual gifts for them, maybe at the rehearsal?

I'm totally stealing the vinylmation idea....

And I don't think you should be worried at all about giving different gifts to your bridal party...people would understand (although I also have a very untraditional view on everything so I may not be the best one to answer this). I think the hard part is transporting it all...I was going to do Welcome bags and Favors but have decided against it - I just can't be bothered carting it all down there....none of my guests are going to care that much if they get any of the things I was planning to give them (ponchos, water, snacks, etc...) so I just didn't see the point....but like I said before, if you DO decide to give out gift bags I wouldn't worry about offending anyone - it's your day, and your decision! :cheer2:

I agree, I don't think anyone will miss them! I just thought if I wanted to do it in public, I should get everyone at least something, you know? We won't be able to give most of our gifts our ahead of time, since we are planning on getting some stuff in WDW. Everyone will be at our rehearsal, so it doesn't really make it that much different.

Your right, I think people would get it. I just can't decide if I want to go to all that extra work...but I have already bought some stuff for it, so it is kind of annoying to not end up using it. I'll talk to DF about it, and try and figure it out!

we did small welcome bags that had (from what i can remember) our welcome letter, chips, bottles of water, dollar store sunscreen spray (they fit in your pocket!), tissues, dollar store hand sanitizer, gum, and the small spray fans that are on the carabiner key chain. we bought them at walmart and people used them all week, they were a huge hit! everyone loved the bags, it was a nice surprise for them when they checked in. plus they spent all this money to travel for our big day we thought it was a nice gesture!

Speaking from what i've seen other brides and grooms do... i'd say give it to them at the rehersal. DF was best man in a wedding last summer and the bridal party went out to eat after the rehersal and thats when they gave their gifts. They did the parents gifts too at the rehersal. Its totally up to you, either way i dont think you can go wrong :)

I agree with giving the gifts to the bridal party at dinner, I have been in a few weddings and that is what all of them have done. The guests didn't mind they realized that the gifts were a thank you from the wedding couple to the chosen wedding attendants.

Hey don't forget you are welcome to stalk my wedding after your trash the dress. LOL Actually I was considering stalking your trash the dress, but since I will be getting ready for my wedding that morning, I won't be about to make it :-)

I can't wait to see pictures!

Less than a month away... :lovestruc

It is good to know that some people do appreciate. Often you read things where people didn't think it was worth it. Thanks for the input!

I love the vinylmation idea as well! But just so you know, I have not seen any Vinylmation in the two Disney stores in my area, so just be aware not all stores carry it. If you need to, you can purchase it online from Disney:

Hope that helps! :)

Thanks for the tip! There are about 4 stores in the Toronto area, so I'll call in the morning. Otherwise, I'll try and get the # for where they sell them in DTD, to make sure they are always in stock!

I think we may do that, but still run the problem of everyone being there. I guess we could wait until our at home reception, but that is almost 2 months later, and I don't want them to feel like they aren't getting anything!

Oh, I am definitely going to! It's not like it is far from where I will be! :goodvibes It'll be so awesome to see another wedding, especially right after we just had ours!

I just called one of the Disney Stores, and I was informed none of the Canadian stores carry it. I'm going to see if DFTW can get it for me, otherwise, I'll order it online and pay the crazy shipping amount! Thanks so much for the heads up! :flower3:

So glad you called! :goodvibes Is shipping really that crazy to Canada?

It is $20 US, which I guess is the same as Cdn$ right now. It is like $7 if you live in the US. I only live 1.5 hours north of the border....I guess it is because it has to go though customs inspection...:confused3
