Hi Everyone!

I decided to start all over again! I had a PJ for awhile, but because I had changed my mind so many times, and have some issues with this being a public board, I ended up abandoning it. But with a month to go, my thesis almost done, and the fact that I am lying down recovering from food poisoning today, I decided I wanted to make a new, super short PJ, to share my excitement. And secretly, I missed documenting my every thought on the dis :rotfl:

So here are my details:

Locations: Epcot Canada/The Attic/Sago Cay
canada1.jpg

Date: April 15th, 2010

Guests: 15 people, plus us!

Colours: Pink, Aqua, Ivory

Rehearsal Dinner: Morocco

Photography:

DPS – Animal Kingdom Bridal Portraits, Ceremony Photography, including photojournalist add on, Morocco Welcome Party, and Attic Reception

Vicki and David Arndt – Trash the Dress (this was originally supposed to be through DPS, but didn’t work out, and I am happy to be working with Vicki and David, as they have been sooooo helpful so far). We are doing it at Stormalong Bay
96-01.jpg

Hair and Makeup: Patricia Lejeune

Resorts: Beach Club Villas and Animal Kingdom Villas (via renting DVC points)
Special Honeymoon Activities: La Nouba, Wanyama (Sunset) Safari at AKL, Hoop de Doo (does that count??)

At Home Reception: This was debated for a long time, but the final decision is, it is happening. It is @ the Lamplighter hotel in London, On. It has a beautiful Atrium, and we decided on the “Oak Room” for our upscale cocktail reception.

(It will have multiple cocktail tables, instead of one long roman one)

Floral and Décor

If any of you have read my previous journal, you would have already seen this, but I will post it again incase anyone is interested who didn’t read a long before

Floral:

Wheat and lavender bouquets for me, MOH and 2 BM’s. The boys will have similar boutonnieres

Ceremony Floral and Décor:

It will be pretty much similar to this, except we will have lanterns on the columns in the back, instead of floral. Also, our petals will reflect our wedding colours.

We will also have a table with pink linen for our “wine ceremony” table.

Attic Reception Décor:
The only thing we will do here is add the “London lamps” from the ceremony as centerpieces. Since we do not have many people, we are only using the patio area of the Attic

Cake:
We had the hardest time deciding on a cake, so in the end, we decided to go with the original mad hatter that Disney offers, but with our colour scheme included
Madhatter.png

We also have this funky cake cutter that I saw in someone else’s PJ awhile ago, although I don’t think they used it:

Sago Cay Décor:

Since we are having a dinner @ Sago Cay, I wanted to dress it up a bit. Our buffet is Italian themed, so I decided to go with that décor, after it was suggested to me. It was one Heidi used for her welcome dinner, and I fell in love with it than, although ours will be a bit different.

We pretty much have everything the same as the above picture, but we decided not to go with the pasta arrangements, and will have white chair covers with the red bows, since the chairs they offer there are green.

We also have the white chocolate mickey favours:

Attire

Myself:
My dress is by Pronovias. I am absolutely obsessed and in total and complete love with it!

My shoes do not go with the colour scheme, but they are hot pink, which I love, pretty comfortable, and don’t make me taller than DF. Plus, I think they will look so cool against the greenery in our AK shoot, as well as the Canada pics

I also have some flats as well, incase my feet get sore. These were designed for the Sex and the City movie, and these are the “Carrie” shoes

I went from refusing to have a veil, to becoming obsessed with cathedral length mantillas. How that happened, I am not sure, but here is the one I bought

I wasn’t going to have any jewelry, but when I saw that post of the Kristi Kelly for Disney sale, I found earrings I love, that are nickel free (which I need) at an amazing price.

The Girls:
I don’t have any pics, but the 2 BM’s will have aqua dresses, and my MOH will have pink. They all have ivory pumps.

The Guys:
All of them have black suits with ivory shirts. DH has a pink tie with blue swirls, and the 2 guys (they are tied, so I guess they are both best men and groomsmen) will have blue with blue and white swirls.

I need to take a break, as my food poisoning is taking it's toll again, but I have a lot more to update!!! I will come back later with our final itinerary, menus, hair and makeup, shower and rehearsal outfits...and more!:goodvibes

First and foremost your dress is absoultely gorgeous!!

I love the idea for your trash the dress shoot! Are Vicki and David pretty reasonable photography prices?

Also, where did you get these and would you be willing to tel me how much they are a piece? I am in the beginning stages of planning and dont really have a lot of knowledge on things yet!

Thanks :goodvibes Vicki and David have very competitive prices...and their pics look amazing!

The chocolate Mickey place cards are through Disney. I beleive they are $6 each, but I might be off by 50 cents or so :rotfl:

I'm glad to see you're back! Everything looks lovely!

Thanks both of you for still commenting on my PJ, and not thinking I am completely crazy (or still thinking I am, but hiding it :rotfl:).

Amanda - I wouldn't have that bouquet if it wasn't for you!

Wow! You did make some changes. Everything looks wonderful!:thumbsup2
I can't believe it's so soon. I'm looking forward to seeing all your pictures, I've never seen any from a ceremony in Canada and I can't wait to see the TTD pictures.:cool1: I love your resort pool choice! It's my favorite. I'm happy you are going to be using David and Vicki Arndt for that. You will love them!:goodvibes

Jennifer (jspahn), Silly Karen and I were all talking about doing a TTD session together with David and Vicki. Maybe you could come back and do one with all of us. Trash The Dresses:rotfl::dance3:

Thanks! I was told that we would be the first in "Canada" but that was awhile ago, so I am sure someone else may have already been there! We are really excited about TTD! We booked that hotel just for Stormalong Bay, since we walked around Y&BC last time we were there (for the xmas decor) and said if we ever go back to WDW we will stay there.

And, YES, I want to do a disbride TTD! That would be AMAZING!!! I love Jennifer's pics, which is why I called D&V. Vicki was so helpful, and even called the recreation dept so that we can have an hour in the pool before it is open to the public! They also offered to take pics of us along the beach as well!

Glad you are back

Oh, thanks so much Claire :goodvibes

Yay, you're starting another PJ. I have to say I've always loved your ideas and your dress is just gorgeous!

As for the other dresses, I really like the last one. Where did you get it??!!? Super cute.

Thanks so much :goodvibes I love the last dress, and it actually is really flattering on. I got it from a boutique in London, Ontario.

Yay you're back! I want to see the Canada location, as a fellow Canadian DFTW bride, though I love how it's listed as an "exotic" location on the website!

Since we are so close to leaving, we also have our itinerary nailed down. I tried not to schedule too much for us, so I made sure not to have too many sit down meals, so that we have more flexibility.

Monday 12th – Leave for Buffalo. We are staying overnight @ a park and fly since our flight is so early.

Tuesday 13th – We get to the airport around noon, so we will still have a pretty good chunk of the afternoon in Disney. We plan to go to DTD to shop, and hopefully take a ride on the “characters in flight” balloon. Than we have reservations @ 7:30 at Raglan Road with a lot of our guests.

Wednesday 14th – Epcot!!! My favourite park! We are going to get there for rope drop and doing as many rides as we can before lunch. Lunch is @ noon at Beirgarten, where we are again meeting a lot of our friends and family. Everyone wanted to go here except me, so I decided to give in. I don’t really eat much meat, but I am sure there are other options there as well. After this, DF and I will go back to our hotel to meet Carolyn Allens for the steaming, and take a nap since we will need all the sleep we can get for Thursday! At 8:00 pm we have our rehearsal dinner @ Morocco (not really dinner, cocktail party). After the fireworks, we are going to head back to the resort to sleep for the big day.

Thursday 15th - Wedding Day!!! Patricia is coming up 5:00 am, so we’ll be up early! The girls are coming @ 6:00 am to get ready for their hair. At 7, DF and I will go to AK for our bridal pics, than meet up with our bridal party @ 8:30 for pics, followed by ceremony followed by more pics. Than brunch @ the Attic, break, and dinner @ Sago Cay!

Friday 16th – We will be meeting up with Vicki and David for our TTD shoot. I’m hoping my hair will still be intact so that all I need to do is makeup! For the rest of the day we plan on hanging out at Stormalong Bay. If we have the time and energy, DF wants to go to Big River Grille for lunch, or a beer at the least. We have reservations for our first married dinner at San Angel Inn @ 7:30, and it is EMH in Epcot that night, if we can manage to stay awake!

Saturday 17th – We are changing resorts, and moving into our AK room. We will spend the day at the AK park, than meet up with many of our guests for dinner @ Ohana, and then are going to La Nouba with a few of them!

Sunday 18th – DHS! We don’t really like it, so we probably won’t be there long. Than we plan to go back and hang out at the resort, until our ressies at Hoop de Doo at 7:30 with DF’s BM and his gf. MK has EMH until 2:00 am, so we will head over there after! I am so excited to be there that late at night, and after drinking, it will probably be even more fun, lol!

Monday 19th – Sleep in, we will need it after those EMH! At 4:30 we meet for the Sunset Safari in Jiko! I’m actually just as excited for this as I am for the wedding!

Tuesday 20th – Back to MK. No real plan, just do whatever we feel like!

Wednesday 21st – Back to Epcot again (that is how much we love it). We have ADR’s @ Kona (our fav from our last trip).

Thursday 22nd – Head home :sad2:

Wow, this was long! I hope I didn't bore people, but I really liked reading about what others did on their honeymoon, so maybe it will help someone :goodvibes

I like the 2nd one for the shower and the last one for the rehearsal dinner.

Welcome back can't wait to read more :)

Yay you're back! I want to see the Canada location, as a fellow Canadian DFTW bride, though I love how it's listed as an "exotic" location on the website!

:lmao: We booked it before it was up on the website, and just thought of it as rustic. When I saw it listed as "exotic" I laughed so hard. Especially since it reminds me of the Canadian Shield (I guess that is what is represents) which is where I used to make forts with my friends...hardly exotic.

Yay! I can't believe your wedding is only a little over a month away! Love everything you have planned so far! The cute knife is so cute! I really like those but my DF didn't so we had to go with something more traditional.

The itinerary looks great! You guys are going to have the best time!
