Blue Sky Rumor: Ride coming to UK Pavilion?

I disagree with the no rides idea. A mixture of rides and movies to actually experience parts of these countries other than food and souvenir's would be much appreciated. However, I really don't want to see IP in EPCOT. Just one guys opinion.

That's the reasonable opinion...really - it is.

At some point folks you are going to have to get warm and fuzzy with rides in WS and more IP added. It is what Disney is, and is doing. My hopes is they at least place IP that seems to fit the area. Example of Rat ride in France makes alot of sense to me.

But there will be alot of IP based items, not just rides placed in EPCOT. It is going to happen.

You may be right, but it will be many many years down the road. WS isn't broken and other parts of Disney are. In my humble opinion of course

No, Rat and the UK ride are talking 2019 or so, so its not years and years away

There's is almost zero reason to believe those are gonna happen...especially in 2 years. That's not how these things go.
If rat starts construction this year I don't see why it couldn't open by the end of 2019. It's not incredibly complex, it's been done before, and it's one ride not an entire land.

It's not that I would disagree with that timeline...I just doubt they're going to green light that while so much is under construction...

And I'm not so sure they are willing to start outfitting pads In the showcase...that took 2 years to build a meet and greet...remember?

Your lack of faith is ....disturbing young Padawan.

I don't totally disagree with you..

My gut says, we will get Innovations and spine fixes with Rat in France first. Then they will move to more sprucing in FW, and add the UK addition next. Per some, I won't be surprised if the added pavilions in WS won't happen post the WDW 50th, but before or while the 40th for EPCOT takes place.

I agree with the first part, but I'm ok with IP in WS as long as it fits. Ratatouille in France works because the movie is set in Paris and the pavilion is made to look like Paris. Frozen in Norway not so much. So something like a Mary Poppins ride in the UK wouldn't be bad, but an Aladdin ride in Morocco wouldn't be right.

Yep, they are out of shovels currently. :thumbsup2

Interesting to see EPCOT is about the last to get some love, and the best we can muster is an IP disagreement.

Off topic but since it was rumored for the Mexico pavilion: coco looks like the result of putting kubo and book of life in a blender. Even though I didn't see either (only have a desire to see book of life out of those two, can't stand Laika) I'm intrigued to see more

Lol...they've barely touched Epcot since 1988...when the phase 2 projects were done.

Perhaps they'll build a new magic kingdom there so everyone can schedule bibbidi and wear matching tshirts...

...or...they'll sit largely dormant as they have since the sponsorship arrangements started to decline and put up more festival booths?

Play the odds as you see fit...

I think that's simply because people recognize it needs love. There's a general agreement in that fact.

Of course it needs love...my argument is that animal kingdom and MGM were worse because they never completed the initial build.

look at what has happened? Any Disney Park not getting a full build - MGM, dak, DCA, HKD, and studios Paris - have needed 15 years of massive handwringing and eventually heavy investment by management to try and pull it back up...

So I still think Epcot stands on more firm ground than any of those did. We'll see how things look over the next 3 years...

But...twdc does NOT Want to put money into Epcot. Epcot is the one park that they can't convince themselves sell crap at Walmart...so they see it as a loss. We aren't don't with that nonsense take yet...it's gonna get worse before it gets better.
