BLT Complaint help

I have a compliant and I need to know who it should go to.
I had 2 reservations this week for myself and family.
The family at OKW loved it 100% no issues!

My family was at BLT...
for the 4000 dollars and annual passes and ddp this needs to be said and something done.

Numerous problems.
1]no toilet paper on arrival...called 3x to housekeeping and finally my brother went and got it himself
2]no coffee in the drawer

3]the shower was leaking out of the shower head all over the ceiling and outside the tub.My brother and I hand tightened and finally got it to stop


4]why no locks on the bathroom??????

5]the Air Conditioner vent was leaking all over the living room so everytime you walked by you got dripped on

6]WE NEVER GOT TRASH OR CLEAN TOWELS OR LINENS.
we had to either take from the lady's housekeeping cart or bring up tons from the pool.
The housekeeper said "I don't understand"...."I only do what is on my list"
My wife had to use our own trash bags and accumulate the trash and put outside the door and the towels we put the dirty ones in a bag and left outside the door too.
This looked so ghetto in an upscale hotel but we had no other options.

6 nights!!!AND ZERO!!!! hospitality!!...I know after 4 they do something but they did nothing!!This was our vacation and my wife is like a mental midget trying to do their job!!!!

NOW THEY SHOW UP!!!!***!!!!!!!!
we said NO we are out at 11am!

any advise!??please!
The money we spend and will spend we deserve better and something to be done because honestly we will never DO BLT AGAIN!!!!A WASTE!!! All Star resorts treated us better!!!
 
First off are you a DVC member, staying on points? if so you don't get towels everyday.

Did you go the Front Desk and speak to anyone during the problems.

I am confused about the $4000 also.

If you stayed on points you take out your own trash to the trash room, not the hall. You can purchase extra towels but again if you are staying on DVC points you do not get new towels until the 4th day. At that time if you did not get them you should have called housekeeping and asked why.
 
Are you a DVC member? If so, I'd contact Member Services.

Best solution would have been to complained to the hotel directly at the time you were there. I would have sought out the manager at the front desk. I know they share check-in with the CR, so not sure how you get someone responsible for BLT, but saying something at the time is the best solution.
 
If you have issues like this you need to address them when you are there,onsite. It won't get fixed or corrected otherwise. I have been reading too many complaints similar to this. Unless people let the powers to be know when it happens, or write to Members Services it will contine to get worse.....smjj
 

I am a DVC member and I know you do not get towels until after the 4th night.
So after the 4th night the morning of my 5th day they should have done something.Trash and Towels!It evens says it on my reservation they mailed me.

I am very familiar with how that works but 6 nights and ZERO employee step into our room?
and the other crap is acceptable?
I am so bummed and my wife is disgusted .and there is no manager on site they are at the Contemporary and I wasted enough time cleaning and gathering towels and going for toilet paper and fixing a leak now I need to track down a manager?
I also felt an email would be better since I can contact and get it in writing to the proper people.
 
Any chance that you rented a DVC reservation and aren't actual owners? You'd get T&T service on day 4 of your stay only, just like us owners do. You didn't research well to not know that if you were staying on DVC points.

Edit: I see you are a DVC member. Then I really don't understand the $4,000 comment.
 
4000 means what I paid in dues and points this year.
I am still a paying customer no matter how you slice it

I've never left trash outside my door. There is a trash room on every floor in DVC, most people would take their trash there. I'd have called Housekeeping if I hadn't gotten clean towels on day 4.

Not sure at all what you were expecting. Define "hospitality" please.

We always put the "do not disturb" sign on the door for our last night so that they don't try to clean our room before we want to leave. But most of the time we are gone long before 8 am so it is not an issue.

Advise would be to speak up about issues while you are there so they can be addressed. You can always also send an email when you get home but then it is too late to have fixed anything for you while you were there.
 
ok...So I needed to talk to someone then...but now I am wasting more of our time.But I chose to handle this via call or email and also send them the pictures.

This is something that I want a paper trail .Sorry I chose my method but I know how big business is.
Also by the time day 5 came and and went and no clean amenities I figured now we have 1 more day I will contact the managers or higher ups .Had no idea it would get this type of non service till it came and went

You should have received T&T service as expected and most of the other issues don't sound acceptable, but MANY hotels have bathroom doors that don't lock, including some other Disney resorts.

It's certainly an option, but it's almost always better to start the process of bringing problems to management's attention when you are still on site. I don't really understand the comment about not wanting to go to the Contemporary to talk to a manager. There is a manager on site - the Contemporary is on site. Notice the name of the resort is Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. It's no different than walking to the lobby at BC or WL if you are staying at BCV or VWL. But...did you never go over to eat or get something in one of the shops or take the monorail?
 
yea I know the lack of locks on bathroom doors have been mentioned before,but if there no complaints it will stay that way forever.

and your trash disposal you mention on the floor..LOCKED!....

so for the money I pay I should be happy and ask for the same room too?

and no toilet paper and numerous calls and going to get it on our own that is something you would accept?

oh yea good thing we can fix a leak or the whole floor would be flooded....

AGAIN ITS VACATION!why do I need to be bothered?I could have gotten the free dining plan and stayed elsewhere and this would not have been a conversation
 
Either write, email or contact Member Services by using the Contact link on the member website.

And Yes you would have to take time out of trip to go down to the Front Desk and ask to speak to a manager but you might have gotten something done about it before you left.

Now all you will get is, "well we are sorry this happened and we will forward your concerns to the appropriate areas".

And no, other than towels and trash which should have come the fourth day I would not accept the other. But I would deal with it there.

But it broke the camels back when zero trash or towels after day 4.
When we talked about it day 5 it then got the 4 of us mad and again questioned the value of this resort and what problems it had.
I thought calling maintenance and house keeping to follow a fair chain of command would do .
Now I realize day 5 or 6 should have gone over to the Contemporary and voiced my issues.

I truly do appreciate the feedback her...You all are good insightful people.

you are right it should not be this way but sadly it is more than not lately at DVC.

Calling will do nothing at times, if you call and you don't get a response in a reasonable amount of time, then yes I take a trip to the front desk and ask for the On Duty manager. I do not settle for anything less.

I am not impressed with BLT, way too many issues with such a new resort. But I think that sadly this is the new DVC and regardless of what others will say and make excuses the buck stops with Jim Lewis.

Nope as I said I would have been at the front desk as soon as I had the first major problem with the leaking shower head.

My point is DVC is more focused now with Jim Lewis as leader on sales and expansion and less about the current membership. Complaining seems to not change anything and it seems many are lucky and never have problems.

Or their expectations are much lower.

Taking the few minutes to talk to someone while you were there would have gotten you more results.
 
I am baffled how people can not speak up or write ...
regardless of how you stay DVC member or renting points..YOU ARE A PAYING CUSTOMER!!
I am not the bad guy here....
