So I am sitting here in my classroom.... in five hours my husband will pick me and we are heading to the airport!!!! I am so excited and just have to get through the next few classes!!!

We are staying at BLT from Friday to Sunday (Bay Lake view) and then Boardwalk from Sunday to Saturday (Boardwalk view). We added BLT kind of last minute to our trip!! I am VERY excited to try it out!

Things I am looking forward to: a relaxing trip-- no major plans except meal reservations!, refurbished space mountain, want to give American Idol a try, might head over to Universal, a less crowded week (our last trips have been late June and x-mas week).

Hope to post some pictures when I can!

Sounds like a great trip. I think you will enjoy Bay Lake Tower. Anticipation is sometimes the best part of vacation. :woohoo:

Well, 24 hours ago I was writing to you from my classroom, now I am sitting in my room at BLT and looking out at space mountain!!! Our room is awesome... we have a "bay lake view" but we can see the castle and space mountain!!!! Honestly I did not think I would like BLT as much as I do. We will be staying here again :)

Yesterday went well. We used magical express for the first time. When we arrived we went to the "Top of the World" lounge, had drinks, a beef tenderloin flatbread and watched wishes!! What a great way to start off our vacay! Loved it up there.... and people are right we have to use it so we do not "lose it"!

Then we went over to Epcot for extra magic hours. We could see illumination on the monorail on the way over! Crowds were pretty low (I am not used to that at all!!). We road Soarin and then played around with some of the games in tomorrowland (can't remember the exact name). We then road spaceship earth-- then headed home--- to find our luggage in our room :)

Great first day and we were only here for a couple of hours

Today-- MK and then Dinner at Ohana--- And we need to find somewhere to see the Ravens beat the Colts :)

I will try to get a pic of the view from our room posted before we leave this morning!!

Hope this works... view from the room!

The lounge at the Polynesian has a very nice sized big screen with about 30 chairs around it. Its very cleverly disguised, so ask if you don't see it.

We were at Ohana the night Penn State beat LSU, and saw the TV.

I'm loving your report!!

What a day-- and it is not even over yet! I feel soooo blessed to have DVC-- it really has changed WDW for us. It is so nice at a slower pace. We headed over to MK and I was surprised by the crowds... I expected much worse for MLK weekend. We never waited more than 30 minutes for any ride and barely waited that. We got to ride everything we wanted very easily-- I am so not used to that. January is GREAT!

Then we came back to BLT and rented a little "whaler" boat. So much fun! You get a DVC discount, which is great. I hope to post some pictures!

And thanks Mickey's Apprentice... we will check out the TV over there!

Last night was kind of a bust! Not only did the Ravens lose :( but Ohana was a disaster.

When we got there, it was a mad house. We checked in and the cm said we needed to check in again in awhile because he did not have enough of those things that flash when your table is ready. That was our first sign. So I asked when should we check back in, maybe 15 minutes?? And he just shrugged his shoulders. So then we asked, Will we be seated by 7 and he said maybe. At that point we realized the place was a mess and left. If he had just been more assertive... like, I know it is crowded, we are a little backed up, it may be 40 minutes till you sit down-- then I would have been ok with it, but he really was a mess.

So we came back to the Contemporary and at the Contmepo Cafe. It was not bad, but I was really looking forward to Ohana, oh well!

Today is another day :) We are packing up because we are moving over to BWV!! We have Lunch at Biergarten so we will be spending our day in Epcot. Then we have dinner at Flying Fish! Now just to get my husband out of bet!! The lose last night really doesn't help :sad2::sad1:

We did watch the cam at the Top of the World Lounge.... we REALLY like it up there. The CMs are so friendly! I will post a couple of pics!

Thanks for the reports and all the pictures. Looking forward to the rest. We also enjoyed the TOWL lounge.

I can see the crane:scared1:

Thanks for all the pics!!! Hope you are having a great trip:goodvibes

Yes... there has been a decent amount of "renovations" going on around the parks! But it is ok with me.... it is January and the crowds are amazing!

Today has been a great day! I am very impressed with the resorts as a whole. We checked out of BLT (asked for our bags to be sent to BWV). We headed to epcot. We really have enjoyed just walking around the parks. We spent some time in Innovations which normally is soooo crowded we do not even try! We had Lunch at Biergarten and saw the show--- really good time.

We actually checked in at BWV around 11 and they had a room ready for us!!! Great views! After check in we headed back into Epcot and that is when we had Lunch. By the time we arrived back to our room our luggage was here.

Dinner tonight at Flying Fish! We have a fast pass for Soarin between 8 and 9 so may head back there. Or may go to MK for extra magic hours... who knows!! I love being so relaxed about plans!

I will post some pics later.... definitely got some of BWV (I have been here so many times but still can't help but take pictures!) Oh-- and I love the renovated rooms!!!!

Enjoying your trip report and have a wonderful time at the BWV. Can't wait to read more.
