Blizzard Beach Question.......

We are going on a 7 day cruise in September. After the cruise, we are renting a car and going over to WDW for Saturday night, and we are going to fly home on Sunday evening.

That gives us Saturday and part of Sunday to spend at Disney. My kids want to try out Blizzard Beach (we have never been there).

If we go on Sunday, we won't have a hotel room to return to when we are done (we will be heading to the airport). Are we able to shower and dry our hair somewhere at Blizzard Beach?

We could go on Saturday, but I would prefer to do the parks that day because we will have more time. I think 3 or 4 hours at Blizzard Beach will be enough for us and Sunday we only have part of the day to spend at WDW anyway.

Thanks,
DJ

Hi --

We've been to BB many times and it's our family's favorite (one of these times we'll do Typhoon Lagoon).

To answer your question, there are changing areas/bathrooms with electrical outlets near the front entrance, where the lockers are at. Also I'm 99.9% sure they had showers as well. You'll have no problem getting dried, changed, and ready for your trip home.

If you are limited by time, I would recommend getting there early on Sunday so you'll be able to do the more extreme slides (Summit Plummit, etc).

Have fun !

Thanks! My girls and I are a little nervous about the Summit Plummit, but maybe we should just head there first and get it overwith  ! I know I will be sorry if we don't do it.

It sounds like it will work out fine. I read somewhere that you can 'rent' towels. Is that true? I hope so because we won't have towels with us.

Thanks again!
DJ

Towels are just $1 to rent. Take a look at Disney's web site for more details on the various attractions. Summit Plummit does have a 48" height restriction, and to those weak at heart, it's somewhat scary when you're at the top. I've waited many times in a LONG line, and had people in front of me decide not to go down.

yes, you can rent towels at both WDW waterparks. i think they are only like a buck or two. (but don't quote me on that one.)
