Blizzard Beach Closed?

My DM and I are going to the World from Dec. 14th to the 24th. I heard something about Blizzard Beach being closed for refurbishment. Is this true?

P.S. You might think that I'm nuts to go to a water park in the cold but I have done it before. It wasn't too bad actually!

Typhoon will be open during your stay, but, Blizzard Beach closed October 23 and is not scheduled to reopen until December 25, at which time Typhoon will close, December 25 and reopen February 26.

I'm bummed because Typhoon Lagoon will actually be closed during our stay in January, and I was more interested in trying out that one over Blizzard Beach. Is Blizzard Beach better, because I thought Typhoon Lagoon had the edge because of the shark swim? Anyway, I'm excited to try these out, even in January

In my opinion of the 2, Typhoon is more laid back and relaxed where Blizzard to me seems more of the go go go...They both have ample slides, including the speed slides, but Blizzard is more intense where Typhoon is the calmer one...that's my feeling on it anyway... LOVE them both, just depends on my mood

Had a great time.
We have done the water parks in Dec.
Water is heated.
