Blizzard Beach Closed For Thanksgiving

we are taking our 14 year old son and a friend to Disney for Thanksgiving. He was so looking forward to Blizzard Beach. The calendar says it will be closed. How accurate is the calendar this far in advance? He will be devistated.

Which calender are you refering to? The official Disney calender is only showing through August right now. That being asked that time frame is right on the bubble of when one park is closed for referb.

The water parks take turns closing each year from late October to late February.

Last year, Blizzard Beach was closed 10/23 to 12/24, Typhoon Lagoon was (is) closed 12/25 to 2/25. In 2004, Bizzard Beach was closed 10/24 to 12/11. 2003 was 10/26 to 12/13. So chances are it will be closed around Thanksgiving this year.

I actually found the schedule on this board. I went to the home page and clicked park hours. If you scroll down they have a place where you can enter your actual dates. It says Blizzard Beach closed for rehab ( for was it refurb). Anyway we will assume it is correct. I spoke to my ds and he said as long as one of the water parks is open hes cool. Thanks for your help.
