Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon question

Yesterday we went to White Water waterpark to ride some water slides. We found that all of the slides that used a tube had a weight limit of 300lbs, so my boyfriend wasn't able to ride these.

At Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon do any of the attractions have a maximum weight? I have found a lot of info on height restrictions, but nothing about max weights.

At BB the issue would be with the chair lift. There is a weight limit on there for the regular chairs. Might be able to ride in the one for wheel chairs if over the weight limit. It accommodates a wheel chair and couple people so weight allowed would be higher.

As for the slides, they don't advertise a maximum weight at WDW parks. Family tubes can have up to 6 people so those would easily accommodate most people.

So where are all the physics majors or engineers on DIS. I'm sure it is just a matter of is the size of the tube and if the weight is being spread out over the surface of the water and being able to be held off the bottom of the slide.
If it is too much weight for the water to suspend your bottom off the slide all you would do would be sit there, not much fun on a slide.

The chair lift won't be an issue, as the official WDW site states a max weight of 375. I am guessing that is a per person weight if not a max weight per chair lift. If there was a max weight to ride in the tubes, it would be posted on a sign (like White water has). The weight limit is there to prevent the tube from bottoming out, and the person ends up not sliding like they are supposed to.

I guess I should ask...has anyone seen a sign that lists a max weight? Normally something like this would be posted on a safety instruction/warning sign at the entrance to the slide in the same place as the height restrictions are posted. If nothing is posted on the warning signs, this would normally mean that there is no limit at all. If someone happens to have read the warning sign, did you see anything on it?

I'd imagine WDW has the highest quality slides and tubes possible, to accommodate people better than White Water, but I want to be sure. This wasn't even anything that I thought of and didn't see anything listed on the White Water web site about it.

I don't know how I overlooked this part of your post...but this answers my question. If they don't show a max weight...then I am 100% sure there isn't one. They would list it for safety reasons if there was.
