Blintzes, Lox for Breakfast

Hey Y'all!

I was wondering if you could tell me where I can find either Cream Cheese Blintzes or Lox (Smoked Salmon) for breakfast in the world? Buffet or plated makes no difference. If you had either, how was the quality?

I think I've had blintzes at Chef Mickey's, and challah french toast! Can't remember about lox. Now I'm hungry!

Captain's Grille had both on the buffet- but 2 years ago. No idea what they might have now.

Used to be you could get lox and bagel for breakfast at Starring Rolls - a DHS counter service. Not any more.

*For those who don't get the reference the Borscht Belt is a reference to the Catskills region of New York State that was a popular resort getaway with many hotels like Browns, The Concord and Kutshers that catered to the New York Jewish crowd in the 50s and 60s

I've done the buffet breakfast at Captain's Grille fairly regularly over the past several years. What I recall:

October 2007: Blintzes and lox/bagels were on the buffet. I remember the blintzes because my mom just loved them.

Now...fast forward to...

October 2009: Blintzes were nowhere to be found. Lox and bagels were on the right side of the buffet, back wall.

July 2010 and October 2010: Lox and bagels were still there. Blintzes were still MIA.

The quality of the lox seemed so/so. I like the buffet overall because both sides have different items. One item that I've seen consistently for over a year were roasted Roma tomatoes with melted parmesan cheese on them. Love those.

Blintzes, Lox for Breakfast . . .

1) Usually around Christmas time.
2) Near the reindeer secure facility in the morning.
. . . blitzen in the barn
. . . locks on the door handle

the breakfast buffet at tusker house had blintzes. not sure about the lox though. i'm not crazy about lox though it's EVERYWHERE where i live!

Akershus breakfast and cape may buffet both have smoked salmon (lox) and all the accompaniments on the buffet.

We loved Akershus - everything was very fresh.

I have had the lox at the Crystal Palace breakfast. It was sooo delicious!
