Blackhawks Parade

:lmao:

Of course they tried to buy tickets. How else do you think that their names got added to the list?

so 8,000 folks plus the season ticket holders plus the few people who were lucky enough to buy single game tickets.. I'll be generous and say that comes to 75,000.

2,000,000 people were at the parade.

Nuff said.

Why not? She financially supported the team with her purchase. Why does a $32 ticket make someone a fan but not a $20 hat?

Because OP said so.

See? Can't argue with that logic.

Oh, BTW, I don't think it was 2,000,000 people. But they did draw more than Oprah! Thank goodness our school's last day was yesterday. I'd hate to have the bus fighting through the traffic.

Do you have to go to Disney every year to make you a Disney Fan?

:rotfl:

It's not just a 32 ticket but everything else that goes into the cost of a game. Hell I'm sure plenty of people bought hats just to protect their face from the sun. Not because they are some diehard.

This is the funniest thread I've read in a long time.

I've said it many times...I am always amazed at what can turn into a debate on the CB! You will see the most innocent sounding thread title and wonder why is has so many pages in such a short time. Someone, somewhere, SOMEHOW has found a way to take offense to something.

Me? I continue to stand by my dislike of any and all sports. ;)

And lets be honest now... after all of those taxes here in Crook County, the hat would end up costing more than the tickets! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I ask you again, that because I can not afford to physically go to a game that I am not a REAL fan? You are a pot stirrer plain and simple.

Pot stirring without a doubt.

And I'm sorry, but there are many NY fans that can't afford to go to a game. There are very few 'cheap' seats at Yankee Stadium, Citifield, or Madison Square Garden. But that doesn't lessen their fandom at all. They eat, sleep & die with every win or loss. And if they went to the Yankees parade last year (which was one of the few times they could see the Yanks for free), they aren't bandwagon fans.

So now to be a real fan you must buy a ticket, pay for parking and buy a pizza and Coke? :confused3

And there are probably many people that buy season tickets to impress clients and use it as a tax write-off. Not because they are die-hard fans.

Wow! That's some expensive toilet paper. :lmao:

If you buy a $32 ticket, I guess that you can provide 10 rolls and make yourself a real fan. ;)

plus the parking and food, bring said total to 100. $100 and actually cheering on your team vs. $20 hat.

Nuff said.

By the OP's definition of a "real fan" I guess my nephew is not one. Guess he is all apart of the bandwagon. Guess the fact that he is in Afghanistan right now means nothing to the OP because a real fan would make sure that their job did not send them away for months.

I know I should not let pot-stirrers get to me, but this one does.

Downtown today just is not the place to be. Also the Crosstown Classic today! I am glad school ended for you yesterday too. :)

I have great respect for our military so I'm not going to even get into this with you.

I am referring to the bandwagoners who are at the parade. Obviously not military people who are not available. And I'm sure if he's a big fan, he's been to plenty of games in his life.

let see :scratchin mortgage, utilities, gas/car, hawks tickets??

And I'll add in two college tuitions to that scenario. I will say my husband and oldest son went to two games each; my youngest son wanted to go but was away at school or wrestling and couldn't. But he was at the rally today, 10 feet from the reviewing stand. He had a blast.

I thought that $100 was for 2? What about if your ride your bike or walk so that you don't have to pay for parking, eat before you go and go by yourself. Are you not a fan?

I could purchase a sweatshirt and sit in my family room cheering my team on and contribute more to the team than the real fan that buys a ticket.
:thumbsup2

So all those costs and your family still managed to attend the game! Good job Hawks Fans! :thumbsup2

that this would not turn into a knock down drag out fight but clearly it has. There is no definition for a fan, there is no right and wrong way to support a team. Once again, congrats to the Blackhawks for making it this far.....
