Your correct that Target doesn't advertise "door busters" but a lot of their really low priced items are limited quanities. So, while it's not in print as a "door buster", if you don't get there early, you won't get one.
4 years ago is the first time we went early. Target had a digital camera DH wanted to get me. Luckily, we got in line at the right time. By the time DH got back to electronics, they only had 6 of the 20 they had in stock left. He got a laugh, as it was so crowded, the sales people were litterly standing on stool, yelling asking who was there for what and if you weren't right at the counter, and it was small enought they would toss it to you.
Ditto. Last year I was up at 4 AM to hit Kohl's, so figured I'd go to Target since I was up anyway. Got there about 5ish, I was about the 4th person in line. By the time they opened the doors at 6, I'd guesstimate there were about 150 in line behind us. One of the hot items was a really cheap LCD tv, they only had ten in the store, and the 3 people ahead of me all were getting one (I was not, I wanted the Kodak digital frame for $35 and one or two other more minor deals). So anyone behind say the 10th or 15th person wasn't going to get a tv, even though it wasn't really a door buster per say.
I have to say, my Target was really well organized last year, they did a great job with crowd control, and even gave out free Starbucks mint mocha samples!
