I dont get regular tv , question I have is there anything new coming out in electronics besides the Iphone?

Get to your store early, TVs go fast. Got one last year, and pretty much everyone in line I talked to said they were there for a TV. We were in line early so we got the TV, but not everyone who lined up for that got it.

I hope they have a deal like the one they had for the 32" TV at Walmart last year. I was able to get it online for $199. Love to have a deal on a bigger one.

For the record, I totally my netbook! I use it on a daily basis, and my son uses it more than he uses his laptop.

I just purchased my first holiday gift last night : Rocksmith for the PS3 for my guitar playing son. It is actually on backorder already at Amazon.com and is a new release, so I don't want to risk not getting it. DH agreed with me just to get it now and that it probably won't be discounted much, if at all, by the time Black Friday is here.

Gonna be a mild holiday season for us, as DS and I are going to New York next year and are still paying off that trip.

We have 2 Acer Netbooks at our house, mine is 2 1/2 years old and my dd got hers for Christmas 2009, they both still work great.

I'm keeping my eyes out for a good deal on DSIs. We need 2 so a good deal would help make sure we get some games & cases while staying in budget. The catch is that my boys specifically want the black ones not the blue. Crossing my fingers...

The basic Kindle, or Nook is simply an e-reader. Great for reading! The Nook Color, or upcoming Kindle Fire has internet, email, games and other apps in addition to being an e-reader.

I may be a loner and I have not read this whole thread, but I am waiting for the ulta make up kit that comes out on Black Friday. I want an IPAD2--which won't have a deal and maybe a 46" LCD or LED TV, but those are extreme wants!!!

For people looking for a camera deal:

DH and I are shopping around for a DSL camera. We went into Ritz Camera today to look at different models. I asked the salesperson (who I later found out to be the manager! ) if he knew what the Black Friday sales would be and he did not. But he did have some VERY helpful advice!

Ritz has a 30-day price match guarantee that includes Black Friday sales at other stores and online stores!!! I couldn't believe it! He told us we could buy a camera from him in a few days (30 days before BF) then bring in the Black Friday flier from another store on Black Friday and he would price match for us. He recommended we come in the evening on BF when things have quieted down. I am psyched!

DH and I are going to wait for the BF sales fliers to come out and go buy the camera we want at the BF price from him then get a price adjustment on BF. Then again, I did some looking around online and found the Sony SLT-A55 with kit for $650 instead of the usual $800. Maybe I'll print that website and see if he'll price match. Then if there is a BF deal on the camera that is even better (doubt it) I'll ask him to price match again.

I'd like to buy from him. He offered us some great customer service and I'm very impressed with their new pricing policy.

I have it easy this year. We are cutting way back as a family. DS 21 wants cash (better for me I usually go over the amount we set on gifts). DD17 wants an IPod Touch 32Gb. I would like a 22-24 inch flat screen monitor if I can get a great deal.

I read an article on yahoo that their predicting the prices of tvs to be a steal this year! Their guessing that the 32" tvs will be as cheap as $198! I wish the fliers would come out now! I was thinking of putting the tv on layaway at walmart and then if a better deal comes out BF I could cancel the layaway. That is the only thing I need on BF!

Is anyone here from the myrtle beach area, or been in myrtle beach on black friday? My inlaws have invited us to go camping at myrtle beach with them for Thanksgiving, but I really want to go BF shopping and she mentioned going down there. Is it incredibly insane??

Hi I'm from Pawleys Island which is about 20 minutes to MB It is where we have to shop for almost everything. The insaneness probably depends on what you are use to. People do come from around the state but nothing like I see on TV news in big cities.

I guess the biggest thing would be where I would be going. Do the outlets normally do sales? We are staying at pirate land which is more south myrtle. Is there somewhere better to go than main myrtle or is that the best? I've only ever stayed at north myrtle, so I'm not sure what to expect as far as being close by.

Remember you can buy some things on-line on Black Friday too - sometimes the sales are for Thanksgiving day! You don't necessarily have to brave the crowds.
