Black Friday Buddies 2011 Unite!

There wasn't a 2011 thread started so I volunteered to start one. I don't have any Black Friday rumors yet but I have started my 2011 Holiday Shopping. The Target Toy Clearance is in full swing and I think K-Mart also is having a Toy Clearance event. Please share any information you have heard for 2011 Holiday shopping season.

Also if you are looking for a specific item let us know maybe someone can help you locate the best deal.

This year the big things on my list are a TV for DH, PSP for DS12, Bike for DD, and maybe a nook for myself!

I checked a few Black Friday sites and no ads posted yet. They started in late July last year so we should start seeing rumors or ads pop up in the next few weeks. :santa:

I am so here! Can't wait to start sale shopping for Christmas. I don't really know what we are in the market for yet, but the more I save the better. I managed to find some great stuff last year thanks to the thread here. Here's hoping for fantastic deals!

I have a good start on Christmas this year!! My daughter is DONE, IPAD2 and a disney princess dooney. I have about 1/3 to 1/2 for my grandsons and am really hoping for some great BF sales.

I'm in.

Right now, I have no idea. We're looking for a king size bed. Do they have bed sales on Black Friday?

Don't need anything electronics (although my ATT contract will be up soon, and I'm looking to upgrade to an iPhone. Hoping to get that before BF).

Last year, we overbought for our DGD2 (3 before Christmas). She hasn't even touched some of the presents bought last year. So we may rewrap and give them to her this year.

Don't even know where we're going to celebrate Thanksgiving this year. Two years ago, we spent it with DD in Shreveport, LA. We usually spend it with my in-laws in Tennessee. We may stay home this year. In any event, BF is always more expensive in Tennessee. It's a 30 mile round trip from her place to the nearest mall. Plus sales tax is 4% more than almost anyplace else.

Hi! I'm subbing & plan on joining. Last year was my first Black Friday experience and it was crazy. This year we are planning on having my cousin watch our kids so we can go together.

I already started holiday/birthday (my son's birthday is December 12th) shopping at Target. I've picked up a few cute things from the dollar section + their toy clearance.

1. Looking for anice camera in the $200-300 range for me. If there are any recommendations at this time let me know and I'll jot the names down. I'm looking for a nice zoom, so if I'm taking pictures from a distance for school functions I'll get a clear picture and know who the picture is of.

2. Sterling silver earrings for a niece and SIL.

3. DD9 wants an ipod station for her room.

Though I got to Walmart before midnight last year and staked out my spot, at 4'11" I was not able to fight through the flash crowd to get much at midnight. Or maybe my fear of being trampled by people who wouldn't even see me held me back. lol. Maybe I can do better this year.

Can't wait!! I only started black friday shopping 2 years ago and now I do it every year, I don't usually get at the front of the line but I have only walked out without minor things on my list. My husband works for Target so that is where I got first, I drop him off for work and hang out till it opens, I think I will bring a camera this time lol got to watch a linebacker looking fella and his mother told by police to leave the parking lot because they shoved someone. :rotfl:

I'm in! I love BF, it's a tradition for my sister, mom and I so we do it every year. Last year we did well and got everything on our list including a hot ticket item at Target (TV). This year I think we will be looking for more electronics, but we will see as we get closer to the holidays.
