Black friday buddies 2010 unite! BACK FROM THE TRENCHES POST YOUR WAR STORIES!

I am looking for a flip videao camera. My DH is looking for a blu ray player and Santa is looking for an Ipod. ANy help guys?

I had mentioned in a previous post that Blu-ray is going to be bigger than ever. this year (and we can thank Disney for some of that!).

I would expect a networked Blu-ray player (Netflix streaming) to be priced under $100, and a non-Netflix model to be even closer to $50!

Hate to burst your bubble, but as Apple "price-fixes" all their computer hardware products (iPod, iPhone, etc.), I wouldn't expect any discounts at Target (or any other store, for that matter).

However, that doesn't mean that Target may add a "bonus" store gift card with such a purchase...

True, but expect package bonus deals to really sweeten up the deal!:upsidedow

You should check out gamestop (you can look at their website to see if there is a store near you). I purchased mine from there, I went the refurbished route and got it for $129!!

Thanks for the info. I will check out Gamestop next time I am at the mall.

Check the Apple store for a refurbished iPod, we got a great deal for our D (and it has a warranty). You have to keep checking and then grab it when they have what you want...starting early can help!

Subing to this...the main thing we are looking for is a Netbook for DS for his 8th birthday.

What kind of predictions do you think they'll have for the PS3 Move bundle?? Planning on getting it late Oct/early Nov, but if there's going to be a really good deal on it, waiting a few more weeks isn't so bad.

I know a TV is probably out of the question for this year, but I do like to keep an eye on them. 32"-40" for my aunt, 60" is what my bf is after.

External hard drives - BF is looking for at least 2TB.

Blu Rays are always good too, but I won't waste my precious early morning hours on those.

Tenia66, are we going to have links on the first post to the ads? I want to say that you did that last year? :goodvibes

Well, I'm in. I've been subscribing to BF e-mails from various websites for the past few years, but usually we don't get that hardcore about it. This year, though, we could really use a new netbook (ours is a couple of years old, and has suffered a lot of wear-and-tear). So...here's hoping!

Subscribing... for the umptieth time! :cool1:

Love this thread!! Love Black Friday!! This year I'm looking for a really good DVD recorder to replace my son's broken one. He is a TV series freak and makes his own DVD of entire series. Whatever great deals out there I'd LOVE to hear 'em!! :thumbsup2

I'm looking for good prices on Vtech kidizoom cameras, I need 2 of them.

Televisions
HDTVs are always a popular product discounted on Black Friday. Stores like Best Buy, Amazon.com and Walmart will heavily discount plasma, LED and LCD HDTVs. The televisions that go on sale typically fall into 32" to 46" category, but you will see some reduced prices on 50" to 55" HDTVs as well. 2010 will feature some of the lowest prices ever on 32" LCD HDTVs which will be available for around $199 , and 19" models will be marketed for as low as $99. 42" LCD and plasma televisions are expected to be priced anywhere between $400 and $500 and 50" televisions will be marked down anywhere between $550 and $650. The cheaper televisions will most likely be 720p and not have as many features as the more expensive models.

DD 11.5 has asked for a tv and nothing else so I'll be on the hunt for the best deal on a 32" for her. I'm on a tight budget so I hope to find one for $199.

I'm in and new on all this stuff!! Not looking for anything special, just great deals that I can't pass on!!

subbing...
last year i sent DH husband at midnight to toys r us alone (i was pregnant)
he almost didnt make it!!!!

can't wait!!! its been me and one of my bff's for several years now... last year there were 4 of us, this year - 7!!!! I hope I can handle that much input - I'm such a loner - I think I'll be irritated by that many people even they are my bff's!

So, will there be links in the first post to all the ad scans? I'm hoping so! :thumbsup2

I've never done the on-line Black Friday sales. Can someone tell me a little more about them, like which stores have them, do they start at midnight or 5 a.m., etc. And how do I watch for them? Do I subscribe to the store's website or is it printed in their Black Friday ad that comes out on Thanksgiving, etc, etc.

Thanks!!
