This year I'm looking for a 40" (or larger) tv (I'll need help from y'all since I know NOTHING about electronics!)

We just bought a new TV so all the info is fresh in my head, lol. If you want to PM me I'd be happy to help you figure out what you need and can afford.

One thing for sure, do NOT buy HDMI cables from a box store like Best Buy or anywhere - they'll want you to spend $100 on a Monster cable. Total ripoff. Buy ALL of your wires and such from this website and nowhere else if you want the best price (and great quality): www.monoprice.com You can get very good HDMI cables for $6. HDMI cables at the big box stores are the biggest ripoff out there (ranks up there with the $7 cokes at movie theaters for $0.10 worth of soda).

Either way there will be great deals on HDTVs this season. There already are. BF will just be even better.

We are eyeing up the $149 notebook from Office Max...have to do some research. We are hoping for a Garvin GPS unit, a 10" portable DVD player since ours died this summer, and the Dexter DVDs.

Walmart has the leapster2 at 49.99 right now, it is $10 off. I bought the princess edition at 59.99 today since I keep seeing it on ebay and amazon for 79.99, I decided regular price must be a good deal on this special edition.
Target has a couple of games at $15 this week.

Meijer had some sort of leapster toy for $29 on Clearance.
