Last year, our BB was going through the line with "vouchers" asking if anyone was buying a particular item. They would give it to (it had a # on it like 50/76..camera #50 out of the 76 they had) and then as soon as you were let in you'd go to the customer service desk and pick it up and pay right there for it. So most of the stuff people were more than likely wanting was gone before they even walked in. I thought that was handled really well.

A note on bringing a friend to wait in line: it's a great idea, but make sure you are BOTH in line before the store opens or once the line starts moving. At BB they wouldn't let anyone but the people in line already get in. Also, once the line starts moving people from the back tend to start to migrate and "blend" in more. Block these people from butting in.

What time does the store usually open on BF? What time do they start handing out this tickets. According to Gottadeal, Best Buy will have an emachines desktop with flat panel monitor for $189!!!! Gotta get one of those for my mom. Her computer was purchased in 1996!

Got an email today from Gottadeal.com that the Best Buy BF ad had posted. They had a lot of good deals. As I mentioned in the above post, they have an EMachines desktop computer with 15" LCD flat panel monitor for $189.xx. That is an awesome deal!

I think most of them will open between 5 and 6. Around here to get anything good in Best Buy you have to start camping out on Thanksgiving night. Last year I had a friend get there at 11 p.m. on thursday and there was already 4 people there in line.
