Are you all ready for the challenge? It starts today! We will run the challenges Wednesday to Wednesday. We can do this!! If you missed the challenge post it is #25. 3 things to do everyday is to drink your water, eat a healthy breakfast and avoid fast food. Who's with me?

Go blue team!

I'm in! :thumbsup2

The healthy breakfast will be a little bit of a challenge for me because I usually skip breakfast which I know is very bad when you're trying to eat right and lose weight. I've already packed breakfast to take to work with me :) I will definitely not have fast food! Gave that up 3 1/2 months ago and I don't even miss it. :) As for the water, I've been doing very well with that, I just have to continue.

I KNOW OUR BLUE TEAM CAN DO IT!!! :cheer2:

:surfweb: good morning -- not as early as yesterday ;) stayed up too late trying to watch BL and didn't get it finished yet. I will today! and trust me, i'm not really a morning person, but I run my oldest DD to school at 7 a.m. -- isn't that early?? i think so!

luckywife -- :rockband: here's some music for you whilest you do a CLIPPIE DANCE!! congrats!! WTG!!

Vija -- you lost 4.5 lbs this WI!! that is AWESOME!! :cool1:

sabrina -- i hear ya on the PMS, i'm fully blaming it for my WI this week too! if we stay the course the results will follow......we're strong!

jennz -- are :dogdance: our furry friends great walking partners? i walk one of our dogs twice a week, i should add more evenings. what kind of dogs do you have?

becka -- CYBER HIGH FIVE on the 1.5 lb loss! even though the amount is slowing down, just think if you continued that in 2 more weeks you'd be down 4.5, almost another 5 lbs!! i think you are doing fantastic!

desiree -- that clippie is going to look sooo good on you... you will get there, those stubborn numbers! fluctuation! work your plan... but i admire your positive attitude :thumbsup2

seaspray -- i am getting into more 'gourmet' salads :hyper: last night i made a huge salad, added crumbled bleu cheese, pears and pinenuts (walnuts would've been better but i didn't have any) and topped it with a FF honey dijon dressing. it was really good!

get out Melanie!! WOW!! :worship: :worship:

fishbone -- :welcome: you will get back to Goal ::yes:: i'm glad you joined us! other than that, what about crockpot dinners?? i almost bought a crockpot cookbook yesterday but decided i probably have enough recipes if i just looked through what i already have! last week's thread we shared a few crockpot dinner ideas if you are interested.

Lindsay -- good to see you! :tinker: for that hernia to chill out and leave you be

debbie -- ok, greasing up your capris had me giggling :rotfl2: i can't wait to slip on any pair of pants i own and not get wedgies! I love your postive vibes..

btmrr -- :wave2: i'm in the one pound club this week with you and i'm ready to kick it up a notch and see bigger numbers next week too! we can do this!

slk -- great job on the 3.6 lb loss!!:mickeyjum

disneyluv -- a 2 lb loss is FABULOUS!! :woohoo:

goldcupmom -- no matter a loss is a loss!! i don't think you were on our team when i told everyone that i got to help my neighbor deliver 6 yorkie puppies a couple weeks ago  they are soooo cute anyhow, i have 'unoffiically' been on WW since 3/2003 -- off and on -- i'm still struggling with journaling!

sasha -- did you play indoor tennis?? or under the lights? LOL that is way early! for an uncooperative scale -- it better behave next week!

christa -- glad to hear you finally got a day off! wow! that was almost a month, is that typical? and WTG on your loss!

veronica -- :welcome: back! i think NOT gaining at WDW is definately a success. i can't ever seem to do that! you will :rockband: the 5k! i'm proud of you for doing it!

luckwife -- :lmao: you are too funny!

seaspray -- well looks like our challenge is just what you needed! you gotta have breakfast, did you know your metabolism fires up for the day only after you eat? you would hate to go all morning with it running in sleep mode, think of the potential calories to be burned!

well i just printed out the challenge for myself too. i'm definately in. continuing to count my water is good for me, hopefully after 2 weeks of tracking it I won't have too b/c i'll just be drinking it routinely!

i'm thinking of taking a bike ride this morning, i dunno. i was orignally going to do yoga or pilates today, but i didn't get moving early enough and now i'm talking myself out of it and taking the day off working out as it's in my walking program i'm following. we'll see....i got so much to do around the house today anyhow

my goals this week:

water water water
journal -- why do i avoid this?
get all my workouts in (again, on my training schedule)
scrapbook instead of snacking

Hi Guys,

Sorry that I haven't been around. RL is impeding my time on the DIS.:scared1: I maintained this week. At least it wasn't a gain.

Have a great week people.
Beth

luckywife, Great job coming up with a solution to the scale dilemma! I wanted to step on it so bad this morning, but I didn't because I know it is best for me to hang on and wait.

Sabrina_Mouse , I know you will be in the losses group next week! Hang in there.

jennz, I love your goals. I too am going to get our puppy out more. We walked her more at night as a family, but I think I will get out with her during the day instead.

becka , your losses are amazing. Slowing down with the weight loss is hard, but you seem to have such a positive outlook! Way to go!

Desiree, I know you will get that shiny new clippie next time. Hang on and keep focused on the goal! Can't wait till next week to put my shades on from the blinding light of a new clippie!:cool2:

MelanieC, WAY TO GO SISTA!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: What an amzing loss!

Fishbone† :welcome: We are glad to have you on our team!! Hang on to us, we won't let you slide down anymore down that slope and in fact will help you up! I love your goal regarding planning suppers. That is so often where many people fail is planning ahead! Sounds like you have some great goals.

LindsayDunn228:wave2: Cyber hellow wave! Ouch, I hope that hernia pain goes away soon.:flower3: Way to go on getting the water in, it isn't always easy!

Debbie, that is great news about the capris! it is so much fun noticing how clothes start to feel bigger on us, with more room! YEAHHH!:yay:

*BTMRR*, congrats on the 1# loss. That is terrific! I love your goal with fruits and vegetables. I think I may add that in next week for one of my goals.

slk537, super job on the weight loss! What kind of things do you want to shake up your work out routine with? I like to change stuff up as well. The thing that helps me the most is when I am doing the elliptical I watch tvshows that I have taped. Really helps the time go by!

disneyluv, Wow, 2# ALL RIGHT!!! baby steps will get you there. Just stay the course, we are proud of you!

goldcupmom, wow, you have a lot of stress in your life. As far as WW goes, I can top that....I think the first time I joined was in 1999. YUP, CRAZY!!! I think I have reregisterd with WW at least 9 times. that doesn't count how many times I would just go and then in my heart say "today is the day" I think I have started and stopped at least 1000 times, probably more, because I would wake up and say today, then loose it by 9:00am. As far as your DH saying you can't loose weight after 40.... hogwash! My mom joined WW with me, and she lost 65 pounds and made it to her goal weight. She did this at 68 years of age. I am very proud of her, and I know the 2 of us can do it too!

ibouncetoo, if you see this post thanks for the update on the BL time frame!

hrpufnsash, tennis at 6 AM??? Wow, I am impressed! we can stick to not weighing in 'till Tuesday! We can do this!

disneychrista, I hope you had a great day off! 24 days in a row... you need a break! Great job on your losses! WEIGH TO GO!:yay:

VernRDH, you maintained... with free dining that is terrific! I am sooo excited about your upcoming 5k race. I can't wait to hear all about it! All of your WISH friends are going to be cheering you on!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

MinnieMouseMom, hope things settle down soon!:flower3:

SeaSpray, great plan with packing your breakfast! How awesome that you don't miss that fast food breakfast anymore! Way to go!:cool1:

OhMom, what walking program/training schedule are you using? I would love to do something like that. Journaling isn't easy, but I know you can do it! So, what did you do for exercise today?

MIdanceMom, great job maintaining, that is still a victory! RL can be such a pain! Hang in there.

Blue team have a losing day!:jumping3:

So what did you guys think of the show last night? My DD asked me if I would want to come home or if I would want to stay there. I told her that I would try and make them proud, and although I would miss my family terribly, I would take the amazing opportunity presented to me and work my tail off. I really can't stand when the contestants whine about going home, or quitting during workouts. And I think it was Lezlye that was making faces at her trainer behind her back, uggh, that bothered me. It is hard work to be there, but sooo many people would love to be in their spot. I suppose it is harsh for me to say that, I would miss my kids terribly but I would never say I want to go home, or quit on myself and my team.

do you think they get so used to tv cameras around they forget they are being taped all of the time?

I LOVED the part when the black team was waiting for everyone. That part kicked but! It was neet to see them win, but Of course I am partial to blue to win!;)

My favorite segment on the show so far is still from last week when Jillian was being interviewed and she said "beatings, beatings, beatings"!:lmao: I would love for her to come give me some workout beatings!

oh pooh vija -- i haven't done squat yet but some sewing/repairs

i just made my lunch too and am going to watch BL -- maybe later :teeth:

i have always used John The Pengiun Bingham's program -- it's not crazy over the top and i always feel prepared for whatever event i'm doing

which, i haven't told you all yet -- i'm powerwalking the Columbus 1/2 marathon on Oct 21. this will be my third one this year!! and my sixth in my life! rock on!

Hi all! :cheer2: I'm down 6.5 ounds so far, 3.5 for this week. I am so pleased!

We watched BL last ngiht and my DD6 is very worried that, since I am on the Blue Team, I will have to pull an airplane so I can see her letters and wear a bra on TV like they did last night! :lmao: For some reason, as much as I explain it, she doesn't understand that I'm not going on the show!

Sounds like you all are doing great-- I'm very proud to be on the Blue Team with such great and hard working folks!

Christy

mini kiwi? I've never heard of that. Is it like regualr kiwi? I love that stuff so I'd be interested in trying the mini as well.

That's awesome about the 1/2 marathon. Good luck to you, I'm sure you'll do a fantastic job :yay:

Okay so today I walked my dogs again, but I feel like I'm getting shinsplints. :headache: It's always something. I just cut back on the walk a little. The dogs now expect it since I've done it 3 days in a row - they circle me like sharks getting ready for a feeding as soon as DD gets on the bus. Vija and ohmom - I highly recommend using them - they're hard to say no to! We have a red shepherd and a shepherd/shelty mix.

I'm up for the challenge but unfortunately didn't make it for breakfast today...and usually I do! Great challenge - it will be tough but that's a good thing.

OhMom, thanks for the info on the walking program. That is sooo cool for the powerwalk in October. I look forward to the day that I can compete in a race!

I never heard of mini kiwis either. I'll have to look for them. I went to a local grocer and they didn't have a good selection of fruits, they did have pluots, anyone try these, what are they like?

what sewing are you doing? I just bought 10 yards of fabric for my Professor McGonnagal costume!:wizard: did I tell you guys what DD and I are going to be for MNSSHP? We are going as Professor McGonnagal and Ginny Weasley. (spoiler alert if you don't want to know what happens at the end of Harry potter don't read the next part if you do... highlight it!) She picked Ginny because.... She wants to marry Harry Potter! :rotfl2:
mommyoeo, that is too cute regarding your DD. Wearing a sports bra on TV would be scary for me! :scared1:
I'm very proud to be on the Blue Team with such great and hard working folks!
Me Too!!!

Those dogs can be demanding, can't they!;) we have a yellow lab "Princess" is her name!princess: Sorry about the shin splints. I read that stretching before and after really helps, and I just read that taking short, fast strides is actually better than long ones. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Hey all-

DH just came home and brought me a present. :flower3: I was hoping for something yummy (no such luck) but he did get me The Biggest Loser Weight Loss Planner put out by Prevention magazine. It has recipes, tips from Bob, Kim and Jillian and past contestants. I haven't really looked at it yet but I wanted to brag on my DH for thinking of me while I'm doing this challenge!!

As far as the challenges, I have breakfast everyday (what, skip a meal? Surely you jest:lmao: ) Today I have had 5 bottles of water so far today and am sipping on one now. I'm all good on the no fast food front-I can't stand it anymore!! And I only eat whole grain bread (one slice every morning toasted). The veggies/fruits I will give a go when I go grocery shopping tomorrow or Friday. And I don't really eat "starchy" vegetables any more, so that works out too!! Looks like I can totally rock this challenge!!!

VernRDH, Awww, What a sweet DH hubby! How wonderful that he is being so supportive. Sure sounds like you are going to rock this weekly challenge for sure!!!

We have a new blue team member.... :welcome: Welcome to DisneyMomTwins! We can't wait to meet you and hear all about you. Come join the rockin' blue team!:jumping3:

Hi all!!!

I forgot to mention - my loss this week put me at my 10% goal - very excited about this!!

I really enjoyed the show last night - my best friend is also watching with me and we get to dissect it at lunch the next day. Is it always going to be more than 1 hour??

I always loved Bob  and wasn't sure about Jillian, but they finally really showed how caring she is with her team - I really like her now. I am not a fan of Kim. She seems to be disgusted by a lot. I was glad the Black Team won, although it would have been great if Team Blue would have. I won't miss Leslye (sp?).

Challenge today...I had breakfast and got all my water in, but lunch was at a fast food place and I had soup (okay) and chicken strips. All within my points, but alas...fast food. ;)

Hope you all have a great night!

Good morning team :)

So far so good for me with our challenge this week. We went out to eat last night but it was to Subway and I got a foot long veggie. I only ate half of it and saved the other half for my lunch today. Getting in my water wasn't a problem and this weekend I plan to pick up a few new fruits or veggies at the store to try.

Hope everyone has a good day

good morning all -- what a lovely thursday :cloud9: i only wish the fall weather would really come and stay, i'm tired of hot afternoons, and my jeans fit better than my shorts. unfortunately that's b/c they are a size bigger :scared: :rolleyes2

hey i wanted to clarify -- i told you all 'mini kiwi' actually the container says 'baby kiwi' and yes they do taste like kiwi, not quite as tart. they look like HUGE grapes, no fuzz, and you just pop them in your mouth. I bought them at Trader Joes. I would think markets like Whole Foods would have them too. These were grown in Oregon

this worked out really well (ok i had a little inside scoop, forgive me) but i had seen a few things on food network that i wanted to try. the baby kiwi were one, also were figs. you guys like those? they are yummy! i'm not sure of the pt value, haven't looked that up yet

may i make another suggestion -- if you've never had mango -- it's one of my new favorites this summer

Vija --- how was the pluqot (sp?)

:welcome: DisneyMomTwins!

i gotta go help DD get ready for school -- and then walk for the day

i gotta confess too -- i do think Aunt Flo is planning to stop by, i had a chocolate incident yesterday. i hate that! i hate that i let myself succumb to it b/c it wasn't worth it!

Doing good on the challenge. I have had breakfast each day, no fast food and I have been keeping up with my water (88 ozs yesterday). I have not tried any new fruits or veggies but I have not been to the grocery store yet either. I will try to remember to pick up at least one new item for this weeks challenge.

Last night I was really in one of those "I just want to eat" moods but I exercised instead (did week 3 day 1 of C25K) and then ate some leftover veggie pizza. It is so hard sometimes to do the "right" thing. I also did the chocolate thing a bit but I have found the Dove milk chocolates with caramel are only 40 calories a piece. I limited myself to one and they are so good. They really give you a nice chocolate creamy taste for minimal calories. Of course the trick there is stop with one instead of eating the whole bag. ;)

I hope everyone has a great Thursday. I have to run some errands over lunch today and I usually grab fast food but I will see today. I may end up still grabbing something but I will make sure it is at least fairly healthy and fits in my calorie range.

slk537party: CONGRATS on the 10% That is fantastic!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

luckywife, awesome job on the subway choices!

OhMOm, I didn't buy to pluots yet, I kind of looked at them and kept on walking!:rotfl: this will be a good challenge for me, because I am not necessarily adventerous when it comes to trying new foods.

becka, wow, you are rockin' the challenge for this week! :rockband: Way to go!
