Ok - For my goals:

1. Do better with the water
2. Ease back into exercise (after being so tired the past week and a half I haven't done much)
3. Continue to log my calories into sparkpeople
4. Work on making each bite I take fill a nutritional requirement (cut out the sugar, etc.) Did very well on this last week.
5. Work on sleeping better (try not drinking past a certain hour at night, doing some relaxing things etc.)

Hi fellow teammates!! :wave2:

I just joined last night, so I don't have a weightloss to report this week, but I'm hoping this challenge and encouragement from others will help me get back on track. As you can see I have a goal banner in my sig (which I should move off for the time being). That is from reaching my goal about three years ago.... unfortunately, earlier this year I slid a little, and it was a slippery slope, so here I am, halfway down the hill, hanging on for dear life, hoping you guys can give me a hand back up the hill. I'm hoping to lose the 21 lbs I've put back on, and fit back into all of my clothes.

Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself, and say that I'm enjoying your list of goals, as they are some great ideas for me.

My goals this week are:

1) Eat something healthy for breakfast - I've never been a breakfast eater.
2) Pack a light lunch - instead of going out.
3) Plan ahead for suppers - so we don't end up with the easy supper (pizza, mac & cheese, etc) - this habit I think has become the death of my goal. We both commute an hour each way, and often are eating on the run between work and the evening activity (softball, hockey, hunting or fishing).

Looks like we've been a losing bunch...WTG everyone who saw a loss this week (and to those who didn't for working hard) Even the smallest losses add up to a lot of big ones so each pound or ounce gone is something to celebrate :)

Desiree, I was up .2 last week and ended up having a good loss this week. Here's some PD:tinker: for you that next week the scale will move in the other direction.

Oh my goodness Melanie 5 POUNDS?! Outstanding!!:cheer2: Congratulations!

Becka, I've been doing WW for 6 months and noticed a few months ago that the losses each week were getting smaller. I had a decent loss this week but that was the first one in a while. It seems like I've been losing and gaining the same 4-5 pounds all summer. Here's hoping I've finally broken through that plateau.

Really enjoying reading everyones goals for the upcoming week. My biggest concern was staying off the scale until next Tuesday but I realized that I also need to be focused on drinking my water everyday (doing ok with that) and keeping up with my workouts 5-6 days a week. So I'm adding those 2 things to my goal list for the week.

Good job team...we rock!!! party:

WTG Everyone! It is so exciting to read that we are all working on being healthier even if that darn scale is not cooperating. I think it is a really good thing to actually write down our weekly goals. It forces us to really think about what we want to accomplish and sometimes just knowing what you want to do is half the battle.

My goals for this week are:

1) Drink at least 64 ozs. of water and stay in or under my calorie range each day
2) Exercise, exercise, exercise....including tackling week 3 of the C25K program
3) Journal every bite of food I eat
4) Stay off the scale until my official weigh in on Saturday
5) With the new fall TV shows starting up I am afraid that I will take that time in the evening I have been using to exercise to watch TV instead. I want to make it a goal that I will not watch anything on TV each evening until after I have got my exercise in.

Sorry this is late, there was some confusion among the captains when this should go up.

Are you ready for the next challenge? We are now going up against the rest of the teams.

Two weeks have elapsed since the start of WISH BIGGEST LOSER ROUND 3 and our participants have settled into their routine of WISHing and LOSING and SHARING……now it’s time to :stir: :stir:

TEAM CHALLENGE NUMBER ONE!

For this first challenge between the teams, team members are going to have to evaluate and meditate on what it is or isn’t that they are putting in their mouths. Food is fuel and our big losers need quality energy to burn body fat during their workouts.

Here is how it works; below you see a list of ‘tasks’. For the next 7 days you are challenged to complete as many ‘tasks’ as you can. Each one is valued at 5 pts each. During the 7 days of the challenge, keep record of a completed task and at the end of the week turn in your final total score to your team captain, or designated teammate. For example, task #1 – Drink eight glasses of at least 8 oz of water each day ----- this is a one time task and you must complete it entirely to award yourself 5 pts. However, task #2 – Try 2 new fruits or vegetables….. – is possible to complete this task more than once. Each time you have successfully sampled, and hopefully enjoyed a serving of, a new fruit or vegetable you can award yourself 5 pts. Tasks that can be completed multiple times are marked with an ***

This challenge is on your honor system, be accurate and honest with the points you award yourself. After all, if you cheat you are only cheating yourself from forming healthy eating habits :teeth:
TASKS:

Drink eight glasses of at least 8 oz of water each day

Try two new fruits, vegetables or combination of either this week ***
(new is one you have never tasted before)

Instead of snacking -- spend 20 mins engaged in a hobby or interest ***

Eat a healthy breakfast every day instead of skipping this meal

Eat at least 3 servings of whole grains this week ***

Consume at least 2 non-starchy vegetables 3 days this week ***

No eating of fast-food -- salads and Subway excluded

The challenge begins on Wednesday Sept 19 at 12:01 a.m. and end on Tuesday Sept 25th midnight. Your final score must be reported in by Thursday Sept 26 at 3 p.m. EST in order to be included in the team score. Team captains will report in to each team and report the final results in their weekly team thread on Thursday (Sept 26) evening.

Wanna know what you’re playing for?? The winning team earns bragging rights and the right to include a clippie of such in their signature until the completion of the next team challenge.

Suggestion – print out the task list and keep it hand to mark off each time you complete one for easy and accurate record
GOOD LUCK AND Bon Appétit!

WOW,WOW,WOW! Our Blue team rocks this week! Everyone is working so hard!

:welcome: to Fishbone†! Glad to have ya!:flower3:

I love reading everyone's goals they are awesome! We are on our way!

i have an important announcment!

Please hold off on tallying your team challenge, there was some miscommunication (mostly my fault) and not all 3 teams got the official word on the challenge this morning. Team captains and I are getting it all straightened out but I want to make sure all three teams have the same opportunity!

Hi guys :) I'm still alive. The only thing I have successfully accomplished is drinking a buttload more water and I can tell a difference. My hernia has been bothering me so I haven't been able to exercise like I want.

Just wanted to let you know I'm still here :)

All RIGHT, Blue Team! We are on our weigh to a great week! My eyes are blinded by shiny new clippies, and bright happy smiles! Congrats to all! :thumbsup2

I didn't lose anything this week, but that is okay. ::yes:: I'm feeling a bit under the weather (September cold from all those munchkins). I feel good about the walks that I've done, and I did 5 minutes on the stepper AND floor exercise last night as my 'last chance weigh-in'. Most important, when I put on my capris this morning they didn't need to be oiled before I put them on. Would I have preferred to lose something-anything-you bet! But such is not the case for this week. :sad2:

I'm looking forward to seeing the Biggest Loser-all of it-tonight! Vija, thanks for the link for last week's show. Unfortunately, being in Canada, they won't let me view it. :confused3 I'm sure that they will recap tonight.

Anyhoo, just wanted to congratulate all my teamies and say, "WEIGH to GO!"

Hi everyone! I have really enjoyed reading all the personal goals for the week! I lost 1 lb this week which I was pretty happy about considering that though I exercised reasonably well and drank my water this week, I ate way too much fast food.
So my goals this week focus on eating:

1. Journal every bite
2. Make a menu plan (tonight) for family meals so we don't stop by
Taco Bell this week!
3. Eat 5 servings of fruit/veggies per day

Best wishes to all! We can do it!

MJ

Hi all!! I'm at 3.6 pounds down this week after a maintain last week - so happy about this!

The challenge looks like fun!

My goals this week are to keep up the exercise even though my momentum is lacking. I was so excited about it and enjoying it and now that I have started my iFit 30 mins/3 x week elliptical program I am getting tired and bored. I need to shake it up and keep walking too! I'm still doing it, I'm just lacking that excitement.

Great job BLUE!!!!!

Hey Everyone,

Great job everyone. You are all doing a great job !!!!

I'm down 2 this week..taking baby steps I guess.

Keep up the great work Blue team !!!!

Hello, all! Another latecomer, here, but some of you know me from my WISH journal & exercise challenges (though I haven't hosted one in months!)

I'm down 1.7 this week (well, actually from yesterday morning), but I've been so HORRID in my eating & drinking & TOM is hopefully beginning to make an exit, so I'm sure that's what did it.

I'm really a stress eater, hard time staying op. I've been on WW since 1/28/2003 - NO that is NOT a typo!!! Everytime I make real progress, life happens, I stress & gain. Was down 37.5 in 2003 when my MIL died of cancer, my mother broke her hip, then died and then SIL died of cancer. In between I've dealt with my DS21 being evicted at gunpoint from apt., doing drugs, dealing drugs, moving back home, quitting college, having his creditors call dozens of times a day, him getting jobs, losing jobs, etc., and then my DH had a heart attack last 12/21 at the age of 48. Unfortunately, he followed Drs orders for about 3 weeks. NOT good!!! He truly believes WW is a SCAM & that it is "impossible" to lose weight after age 40.

Anyway, you get the picture of my life....if you need more, I have a journal here on WISH.

I have a DS18 who lives at home & started college in August. He was a competitive gymnast for over 10 years & somedays is my lifeline. He was homeschooled all the way due to working out 45 hrs/week and he & I travelled extensively together.

I also have DD15 who I now travel with. She & I are very alike & like most moms & teen girls, have our moments, but we girls need to hang together. She has a bad knee, but hopefully will be able to do TOT with me. Her 'mystery virus' also seems to be improving though she won't admit it.

When I can't handle my real kids, I have my fur kids - Mia & Max - my yorkies. Mia is a big girl at almost 8 lbs, but Max is only 2.5 lbs. Hopefully he will 'get it right' & I'll have puppies in the not so distant future!

Anyway, I'm 47 ( deep in the heart of peri-hormone he!!), still a SAHM, but now I spend my time running my DD & driving my DS18 when it rains (which is seldom here in the desert). I also do a lot of Ebaying. I live at about 6000 ft in the high desert outside of Albuquerque NM - nowheresville USA. We even need USA on our license plates so we don't forget what country we're in.

I travel to FL as often as possible as my DSis & her adult daughters live 1/2 way between Orlando & Tampa. Unfortunately, I've only ever been to WDW twice!! But I'd love to go again, frequently!! Someday, I want to live in FL, but it may not be til I'm WAY OVER THE HILL!!!!

Went on our first cruise in late May/June for our 25th & gained (of course) & then came home, can't seem to get back on track, so have continued to gain. Since 1/2003, I'm still down 22.3, & down is GOOD!!!

My goal is to be CLOSE to goal by 1/28/2008 - which will be my 5 YEAR WW anniversary & to be AT goal by 7/24/2008 when I will be leaving NM for FL & our 2nd cruise (if DH goes along with the idea since I booked it to celebrate his 50th which is 10/2008)

Anyway....Everyone is doing wonderfully!!!

Thanks for letting me join!

Have an AWESOME WEEK!!!!!

GO BLUE!!!!!!! :cheer2:

HEY BLUE TEAM..if you watch Biggest Loser, please note the time changes:

For those of you who watch the show, it will air for 2 hours on 9/25 (7-9Pcentral/8-10P eastern).

Then effective 10/2 a half hour of "Singing Bee" will air before a 90 minute episode of BL. So that would be 7:30-9P central/8:30-10P eastern. This change is 'till further notice'. My bet is Singing Bee will die an untimely death pretty soon, and then (NBC = Nothing But Change) will move everything around again. I"ll keep you posted.

I am up .2 BUMMER - but I will stick with my goal of not weighing until next TUESDAY and hopefully we will have a good surprise.

Played Tennis at 6 this morning. So that felt good.

I lost 1.2 pounds this week. At this point with my hectic work schedule any loss is GREAT! to me. Yesterday was my first day off in 24 days.

Becka - I am right there with you on the weigh loss becoming slower. When I first started I was losing 3 -4 per week now I am down to 1 -2.

:guilty: Well friends, I did not gain, but alas I did not lose this week. But considering I spent 5 days in WDW on free dining and did not drink NEARLY enough water, I consider it a small victory!!

I have never felt so dehydrated in my life. I think I am finally coming back to normal. I drank 7 bottles of water today. Yes 7 of the 16.9 oz ones. But I know that I was at a defecit while in the hot sun and high humidity of central Florida.

This Sunday I am running my first 5k in 10 years!!! I am so excited about it and looking forward to it. I know I can finish, since I do two 3 mile runs per week, but I would like a decent time to boot. Something under 40 minutes would be good (heck I'll take 39:59!!)

Congrats to all the losers this week!! Great job everyone!! Next week I am hoping to post a big loss to help keep this great Blue Team on the winning track!!

My goals for the week are:

1. Get back to the gym for weight training
2. Continue to drink plenty of water
3. Stay on plan with eating (no fudging on the points!)
4. Get more sleep
5. Finish the 5k with my head held high and proud of myself for the accomplishment!!

Hello Blue!!!

I'm sorry, I forgot to weigh this morning. It's been a whirlwind here this past week and it's not going to stop until this Sunday. lol I'll weigh in the morning. :)

Are you all ready for the challenge? It starts today! We will run the challenges Wednesday to Tuesday at midnight. We can do this!! If you missed the challenge post it is #25. 3 things to do everyday is to drink your water, eat a healthy breakfast and avoid fast food. Who's with me?

Go blue team!

Good morning team :)

Just wanted to stop by to wish everyone a great day and good luck with our new challenge.

My scale went bye-bye when DH left for work this morning. I had him put it in the back of his car and that's where it will stay until next Tuesday when it's time for my weigh in. That was my biggest goal this week to stay off the scale except for Tuesday and so far I'm off to a good start.

Have a wondeful day everyone!!
