disneyluv, congrats on the 40# loss so far!!! That is awesome!!!:yay:

ReAnSt, I wish you smooth sailing and lots of MAGIC on the high seas!:boat:

AlreadyexcitedGrammy, I know that you will be zipping up those 8 flights before you know it! I can't wait till I can go up 1 flight without being winded!:goodvibes You are inspiring that you keep getting up early for your workouts. I am going to try and get early work outs in next week.

OhMom, what a neet story with the puppy dogs!:dog: And I won't post a question of the day... just for you!

kitkat324, I loved our jogging stroller. We just sold it because the kids were too big.... they grow up way too fast! I hope you feel better soon too. It stinks not feeling good, but on the upside, I am not hungry so I am not even tempted to snack!:thumbsup2

Geekerbell, WAY TO GO on the 10# loss!:woohoo: That is awesome! I usually do the same, loose a few, gain a lot more:mad: I will look to your new shiny clippie as a motivator!

hrpufnsash, that medal looks so cool. Wow, that heat must have been just unbearable! "I loved HR PUFNSTUFF as a child" what in the world is HR PUNFNSTUFF???? I am going to have to google that one. the clippie for us is... http://www.wdwinfo.com/photopost/data/500/31040loserblue2.jpg

luckywife, sorry your kids is sick, strep throat isn't fun.:sad2: Like you said, tomorrow is a new day and I know it will be a good day for you! :goodvibes

LaLaroo78, hope you are feeling better! I thank God for fresh starts!

OHMom, great job on making good choices at Applebees! I love that they have the WW options. it makes it so much easier when dining out to choose healthy.:thumbsup2

MIdanceMom, Wow, a Personal trainer is going to be great. How do you like the new gym? I used to love to go to Bally's Vic Tanny, we don't have any around here were we moved. Thank heavens I have access to DH's work gym.

Go blue team!

Checking in for today. Feeling kind of yechy cause I haven't been sleeping very well.

OhMom, we do buy some veggies at Costco but when we do we have to eat that veggie for the entire week! We love their string beans. It is the bulk that keeps us from getting the produce there, I like to have a variety of things. We have a better grocery store that has nice produce. I did find cut up grapefruit in the refrigerator section in yogurt sized cups so I bought that and am interested to try it.

I ate pretty well today. A few Vanilla Wafers jumped into my mouth before dinner  But I had a great and filling dinner that followed the South Beach guidelines. :yay: I need to work on the water thing.

I hope to start swimming/water aerobics on Monday if I am up to it. I stepped on my really bad foot wrong last night and I am in terrible pain so I need to see how it is doing by then.

Hi Blue Team!

Sign me up for the team members feeling punky today - but Becka after I read your post mentioning stress at work I realized why. I am so TIRED today and work has been horrid all week. I think I just reached my energy point.

I went for a walk tonight for 30 minutes and did 10 on the elliptical but now I just want to veg for the rest of the night and play I Spy Go Fish with DS.

Have a fantastic TGIF everyone!!!!

Jenn.

Hi everyone :wave2:

Just checking in before I go to bed. I am so exhausted and I don't have the energy to comment to everyone individually like I would LIKE to do, but I want to say something to Becka:

I remember reading your trip report from your very first trip to WDW with your DS. I know you included pictures too. You looked like such a cute family on that trip! And now here you are, with a DD in addition to your DS, AND you've lost almost 50 pounds!! I can just imagine how much nicer you look now with that weight off! I have been very impressed to see how well you've been doing with your weight loss efforts, and even know we don't really "know" each other, you've been an inspiration to me :) So please hang in there! I'm only at the almost-25-pound mark myself, and I can't wait to get to where you are, but you should know that you have fans out here, cheering you on, even if you don't know it! :cheer2:

LTS: *ouch* I feel your pain!

Congrats to everyone who's celebrating a successful week. :yay:

And "hang in there!!" to those who are struggling. :grouphug:

:wave2: hello Blue Team!!!!!

This was a short week and it was insane.....:dance3: I think I lost my mind...hopefully I get it back by Monday!!!:confused3

I had an ok week weight wise.....I worked out for 30 minutes today. It really does help!! I watch Days while I work out now which is better then doing stuff around the house and watching it....:laundy:

princess: Vija--I am sorry you aren't feeling well. Maybe you should stay home the weekend...:rolleyes1 and play hookey!!

Hope everyone gets a chance to relax and enjoy a little time this weekend!:woohoo:

Debi

 Just bring a girl to tears why don't you.... ;)

Thank you so much for your kind words. You can't imagine how much they mean to me. This has been a very tough week for me but I know that with the support I can get here on WISH that I really shouldn't worry. I know that I (and everyone here) can do whatever we set out to accomplish. We just need to stay focused and be here to keep supporting each other. :)

I hope this weekend is just what I need to feel a little more in control. I need the time away from work and just focus on myself and my family. I really didn't have a lot of energy this evening but I still got up and got on the treadmill for an hour and I know I feel better because I did. I would have felt worse if I had stayed on the couch.

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Stay strong, get moving and have a little bit of fun! :)

Hiya everyone! I'm sorry I haven't introduced myself yet, but its been a very busy work week because I am going to Disney World NEXT week! So here we go:
My name is Heather and I'm a 27yr old 175lb bartender in New Orleans. I used to be a high school history teacher, until the "thing." Everyone in New Orleans has a food problem, I think . . . I lost a lot of weight in 2005 and then put it right back on following Katrina. I haven't been real motivated to take it off until now. I discovered that I lost about 12lbs last month on the "don't have time to eat at work" plan . . . not healthy. However, I figured if I could lose 12lbs without doing a whole lot--if I actually paid attention I might be able to lose some more.
I have a gym membership that I might actually start using when Brandon and I get back from Disney. I walk to and from work everyday and spend every 8-10hour shift on my feet so I don't have a lot of extra energy for working out. Brandon is my roommate by the way. If you'd like to read a pretrip report with lots of excess drama including a stern talking to from a mod--the link is at the bottom. What can I say? I live in post Katrina New Orleans--we've got issues. Anyway! I'm excited! I won't be able to weigh in next week because I'll be in Disney and I will probably actually put on a pound or two, but hopefully the walking will balance out the eating!

Go blue team!

I spelled it wrong! Anyone from 35-45ish might remember. I loved Witchiepoo.

Hey I find that searching things on the internet helps me eat less!! Everybody is doing really well - GO BLUE

I remember that show. LOL The big character with the orange head always looked like he had bags under his eyes. And Jack Wild was the British boy who played the Artful Dodger in "Oliver" at around that sound time, he was probably my first heartthrob. :rotfl:

Good morning everyone. :surfweb: I have gotten through the week not too bad....until 9:00 at night. From 9 until 10, I am always ravenous! No exercise due to the back to school (and HEAT!) exhaustion. Weekends-and getting my water in-are problems for me, so that is my goal today and tomorrow. Get my water into me, and stay the course. pixiedust: to everyone!

:coffee: good saturday morning all -- and  and :wizard: to all of those who aren't feeling well! what is up with this???

slow morning here -- spent last night at the HS football game as my oldest DD is in the band, at 2nd qtr is started to :umbrella: we stayed through half-time but got home mildly wet and cold. but never fear i found comfort in diet hot cocoa with vanilla soymilk and a shot (or two
:rolleyes1 ) of Godiva

LTS -- darn those vanilla wafers! i had a similar instance with a can of mixed nuts i found while unpacking from our labor day weekend party. darn it! i think i was feeling like i was running on empty and that boosted me up. but now i gotta get through Sat-Mon without any extras, i'll consider that and my hot toddy my flex pts for the week. just like that POOF! they're gone

Vija -- i'm glad my words helped you get to the gym!! i bet 5 mins into that workout you were glad you did it :jumping1:

:welcome: Heather have a great time in the world!!:goofy: :mickeyjum :donald:

REMEMBER THAT THE WEEKEND IS 28% OF YOUR WEEK!! CHEATING ON THE WEEKEND IS CHEATING OVER A QUARTER OF THE TIME!

Hi Blue Team!!!

Just dropping in to see how everyone is doing. My day has been busy, not a lot of time for eating or sitting about! I went to the gym this morning and did legs and abs (200 crunches TYVM:woohoo: ) Then I took DD to tae kwon do and went to do some last minute shopping for our trip this week-hard to believe in only a few days I will be in the World!! Then home to do some yard/house work. But now that I am still for a little bit, I feel "noshy" like I want to eat something. But I am not going to. I have already used up my points for today and I am DETERMINED to stay on track. I am hoping to get to my mini goal of 170lbs by our trip Weds, I am only 1.8 lb away!

Heather (mcdee) I will be at WDW at the same time as you!!! Remember to drink all your water in the heat of Orlando!!!

Hi everyone. Just checking in quickly. I have to go study.

I hope everyone that is feeling bad is feeling better.

Talk to you soon!

Sabrina

Hi everyone, I am feeling better, just super tired. Weekends are hard, I have to be up at 3:00am, and rarely get to sleep before 9:30-10:00 pm.:charac2: Just a shameless ploy for sympathy!;) I didn't do so good with eating today, I will do better tomorrow.

lovetoscrap, I hope you are feeling better and you can enjoy the water aerobics!:fish:

slk537, hope you are feeling better! Did you veg out? Sometimes we really need those days.

Diva Debi, Did you find your mind yet?:dance3:  Hopefully you have had a restfull weekend! I did think of playing hookey!:rolleyes1 But thought I better do the right thing! Great job on working out, I love watching TV when I work out.

becka, glad you are doing better. Focus on yourself, you deserve it!

mcdee1980, WELCOME! Sorry about all that extra stuff with Katrina. All that stress:sad2: I can't imagine how stressfull all that is. I am going to go read your trip report soon. Have a great trip!!! Say hi to the mouse for me!:mickeyjum

hrpufnsash, thanks for the link. I still have no idea what that was, I asked DH if he knew and he started singing the song right away!:rockband: I read further and it mentioned that it was on Saturday mornings. Well, that explains it... I couldn't watch TV on Saturday mornings. I had Latvian school to go to (you know, like on My Big Fat Greek Wedding... how she went to Greek school? Well I got to go to Latvian school and miss all those great cartoons!) I love searching the net for stuff!

Debbie, how is the water coming:drinking: ... and going?:rotfl:

ohMom, sounds like you had a wonderful recipee for warming up! What instrument does your DD play?

VernRDH, fantastic job working out! And another wish for a safe journey adn fantastic vacation!:wizard:

Sabrina_Mouse:wave2: What are you studying for?:teacher:

Hope the weekend continues to get better and better for all of us Losers!

Go Blue team!:cheer2: :cheer2:

Okay all of you who can keep up with everyone here are just amazing. I am doing good to remember my own name at this point!

I have had a slug day, staying off my feet. But eating has been good. I found these Whole Grain Parmeson Crackers at Costco--they have like every grain in them and are made by the bakery. I haven't done the math but there is enough tree bark like ingredients and they taste "earthy" enough that they HAVE to be South Beach friendly!:rotfl: Then I found this Guacamole in the refrigerated section that was just avacado and spices-- no added bad stuff including preservatives. This is allowed by South Beach so I have been eating the crackers with the Guac. as a snack. Very yummy.

I also had the crackers with tuna salad for lunch. I HATE whole grain, earthy stuff but these are really not bad. I wouldn't eat them plain but with stuff on them they are good. I have some garlic hummus from Costco I may try them with tomorrow!

Hey Blue Team!!! I was just sitting here catching up with the Biggest Loser shows I DVR'ed today and thought I'd check in.

I slept in until 9:00 this morning and I think I just needed it! I really really REALLY didn't want to work out, but I forced myself to put on my socks and then I knew I was stuck :rotfl: So I got everything else on, went out and did a mile at high intensity and 10 minutes more at moderate. We went to see my nephews flag football game and had to walk at least a quarter mile to get to the field and it was great - I wasn't winded or tired or had any trouble getting there. And I didn't realize it until later.

I treated myself to a new autumn purse today as a reward for being on program (like I needed a reason, right?? ;) ) and tomorrow I have a challenge!

Tomorrow is DH's birthday and he wants to go to a Renaissance Festival about 90 minutes from here. I know I can pack my own food and such, but I don't want to do that. I low carbed TWICE on WDW vacations and I missed out on a lot I think. So I looked up all the yummies they have there and I have been feverishly pulling up point totals in my WW online tracker. I have almost all my flexies and I will do the elliptical before we leave. I am excited about making this challenge for myself work. I guess it's my own version of a Temptation, right?

So...so far I've picked apple cider, chocolate covered strawberries, hummus and veggies. And then maybe one treat.

Hope you are all having great weekends!!!

Today was day 15 at work w/o a day off. To say I am tired would be putting it lightly. I really really need a day off. I am hoping that I can take Wednesday off, but if I am not caught up then it will be at least next Wednesday before I can take a day off. I am down an employee so I am having to step in and cover shifts on top of doing my real work.

Having to work like I have been has been making it really tough to get my workouts in. I am trying (and doing it about 80% of the time) keeping my eating in check. But not getting to workout really makes things tough. I really miss working out, as strange as that sounds to me. But I really do.

Oh Latvian school - How fun?? We will have to chat - I am going to visit my Lithuanian friends this summer and I believe we will take a three day trip up to Latvia.

Never been to either country

Had a headache this afternoon and went to bed as DH celebrated his Penn State Football win. It was the typical, I am eating raw good foods so my body goes into a bit of shock. Also Sugar withdrawals.

Woke up 2 hours later and feel so much better.

SLK537 - GREAT JOB preparing yourself for the day!! Chocolate covered strawberries sound like reason enough to go to a Renaissance Festival. YUMMY.

I have never been on the Magic. I did a 4 day Wonder cruise which was afflicted by Hurricane Rita. I know I am taking the risk of sailing during hurricane season, but we got awesome rates that were tough to pass up.

I tend to be a lot more active on my vacations then I am in my daily life so I think I will be OK. I am snorkeling at Castaway Cay, 12 Metre Regatta at St. Maarteen, doing walking tours at most of the islands and relaxing.

Back to Packing. Tomorrow is going to be here way too soon.

WOO HOO!! 2 weeks on the Magic! You WILL have an awesome time!! :thumbsup2 I was on the Magic in 2004 during Hurricane Frances and DCL took more than excellent care of us. Our 7 night cruise turned into a 10 night cruise because they took us further down the coast of Mexico to keep us safe and away from the storm. We never even saw a drop of rain on that cruise. Have a wonderful cruise!! :boat:

Hey - I tried to post yesterday and it looked like it might not happen and I guess it didn't - for some reason I have been having some problems with the site in the early morning.

I have been able to do pretty well this week and YOU all have been my "right there" with me.............. I love having a TEAM that I can think about and say "no, it's just not worth having .... " so THANKS

and I am here to say - weekends can be TOUGH for me - I am sending to all to make good healthy choices and remember "we are in this TOGETHER"

Did walk on the tm this morning and my "today goal" is to walk the stairs at work as much as I can - I used to be able to do the 8 flights up - without a stop - well - not sure that I could do that today - but I plan to do a few and eventually get back to zipping right up those 8 flights again

Weekends can be tough for me too, only because I'm out of the regular week day routine. I'm trying to become even stricter now with my little weekend splurges, because even though I'm very happy about losing almost 25 pounds, I still have another 50 to go! This is no time to slack off! LOL

good morning BLUE team and TGIF!

lalaroo and seaspray -- i'm glad we have some teammates in their groove, b/c this is my struggle. staying in my groove.....you are my inspiration!

Aww thanks!! I find inspiration in each one of our teammates! :)

I'm on a roll with my healthy way of eating (South Beach) and I'm not about to stop now!! :woohoo:

Okay, I only have a few minutes here this morning, but will check back this afternoon.

But I wanted to share with everyone that I weighed this morning and after almost a month, I have finally hit the 10 pound weight loss mark!:woohoo:

I am so excited!
This is the first time in a couple of years that I have stuck with it this long to result in ten pounds. Usually I will lose a few pounds, get frustrated, have a few bad days, then give up and gain everything back plus more!

Hope everyone has an awesome Friday!!

Congrats on losing 10 pounds!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Hello Blue Team!

I've been trying to read all the new posts but haven't had much time over the past few days to really read as much as I'd like. Found out this morning that my 13 year old DS has strep throat I just hope our 4 year old doesn't get it.

I've been doing well with eating this week but exercise hasn't been the best. No excuses, I could have done it a few days and just didn't. Tomorrow is a new day so I plan to get back into full swing in the morning.

Hope everyone is doing well. GO BLUE!!!

I hope your DS is feeling ok!!

Hi Blue Team!

I did not exercise last night. I know I should have. I was exhausted and just did not feel like doing anything! I've had a cold for like 3 weeks and I kept coughing really bad at night and it would keep me up. I finally am getting over it and today I did not feel exhausted when I woke up! It's no excuse but today is a new day and a fresh start!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Keep up the good work everyone!

Michele

A cold for 3 weeks? Ugh! I hope you feel better soon

quick like -- i just had to tell you all -- i met some friends for lunch at applebees and i soooo wanted the soup/salad combos but i stuck with my plan! kitkat we can do this! i ordered off the WW menu, a portabello chicken sammich for 7 pts. it was pretty good. their WW food is good -- not fabulous but at least i still feel on plan for today!

.

MUCHO PD for our weekend!!

It feels so good when we make the right decisions, doesn't it??? :thumbsup2

I do not feel good today.

I came on quick this morning, and I have to thank OhMom because I read her question to me about how the gym was, I almost didn't go, but that one little question made me be accountable! Thanks alot! So off I went and it felt pretty good. I watched theToday show while on the treadmill, did anyone else see it? They had on 4 people that lost weight with WW and Isaac Mizrahi (sp?) gave them a makeover. They lost like 85, 101, 111 and 124 (or close to those numbers)THey look great and it was like a beacon to tell me to keep going! But I came home ate breakfast and promptly fell in bed and took a 1 1/2 hour nap! I still don't feel the best, and I am sure that part of it is because it is Friday. I am always sad and melencholy on Fridays because I work weekends only. EVERY WEEKEND! I only get 4 off a year. Soon hopefully that will change.

I hope you feel better. That's great that you were able to still exercise. :)

Hi Blue Team!!!

Well, I joined a new gym. I also signed up for a session with a nutritionist and 4 sessions with a personal trainer. The nutritionist's info didn't tell me anything I didn't know, but I did get some good recipes. I see the PT on Sunday. I am really excited about it. I've already worked out twice.

I hope everyone starts to feel better.

Take care,
Beth

I hope you have a good session today with your personal trainer! :cool2:

Checking in for today. Feeling kind of yechy cause I haven't been sleeping very well.

I ate pretty well today. A few Vanilla Wafers jumped into my mouth before dinner But I had a great and filling dinner that followed the South Beach guidelines. I need to work on the water thing.

I hope to start swimming/water aerobics on Monday if I am up to it. I stepped on my really bad foot wrong last night and I am in terrible pain so I need to see how it is doing by then.

I hope you're feeling better soon. I think water aerobics is such a great idea, I wish there was a place near me that offered it. Sorry about your foot pain, I've been dealing with it too.... :sad2:

:coffee: good saturday morning all -- and  to all of those who aren't feeling well! what is up with this???

Good point about the weekend being 20% of our week!!!

Excellent idea to decide on your meal in advance, this way you won't be caught off guard and will lower your temptation to eat something you migyht regret later! Your food choices sound really good!! There's a renaissance fair near me too called King Richard's Faire and I'm sure there are a lot of unhealthy food choices there too. lol Not sure if we'll be going this year or not though. Have fun!!! princess:

15 days without a day off??? :faint: I give you so much credit for staying on track with healthy eating, and I hope you get the opportunity to work out soon.

I hope everyone's having a good weekend. :sunny:

Molli, I hope everyone has dried out this morning. Your diet hot cocoa from the other night sounds divine! :drinking1:

VernRDN, good for you on your workout. I had to do some heavy brainwork on the TYVM, but as I was writing the question, the fog cleared. :rotfl: Good-and important-advice on the water in the Orlando heat!

Vija, I'm glad that you are feeling better. And the water went fine yesterday. I'm starting on today's now....a little late, but better than nothing!

lovetoscrap, my problem with crackers....I could eat the whole package in one sitting. I'm SO unself-disciplined. (is that a word?)

slk537, you got it. Shoes and socks, and you are off. You've inspired me with the one mile intense, and then a few minutes with the lesser intensity. I may not get to it today (raining), but the first time out, that's my plan! Have fun at the Renaissance Fair. You have a plan, and that is the right way to go at this!

Sasha, I hope that the headache doesn't bother you today. Feel good because you are doing good things for your body!

SeaSpray, you are right. Now isn't the time to slack off....for any of us! We want to win the first weigh-in on Tuesday, so everyone needs to do their "last chance workout" tomorrow!

My girls come home today from Finland (been gone 2 weeks with the Amabile choir, so we'll have lots to keep us busy this evening-if they can stay awake! Meanwhile, my water WILL continue to be on my mind today. (That and the trips to the bathroom! :rotfl: I have a method. I make a big pot of green tea. When it is gone, I add boiling water to the pot. I do that a few times, and I end up really drinking hot water.

Have a good day, everyone! We are all on our WEIGH!
