Biscuit's Grand Adventure | An epic tale three decades in the making!

It's amazing to me that you can do so much park touring before your family even wakes up. My family and I are the exact opposite...we get up early and hit the bed early. So to hear that you and your little ones are up at 3am...it boggles my mind. We are a mere 3 hours from waking up at that point.

Anyway, I love the picture the Collins took of you as you were going about your photographic tour...it is truly a candid, in-the-moment shot of your personal explorations.

The more you blew off buying the lanyard, the more nervous I became. I kept thinking that SOMETHING would go awry. Don't you know by now -- never put it off! You never know what could happen! Especially with your luck!

You got some great pics, being so pressed for time. I've got to get some tips from you before our next trip. I really want to do some of those photo-stitched panoramas. I've experimented, but so far they haven't turned out that well.:confused3

It's just how we're wired. We're all 4 night owls. Which works out great. I LOVE evening EMH.

They had me cracking up! It was pretty much the only "candid" photo of myself from the trip.

It could have been bad. But I figured it wasn't the type of thing easily sold out of.

Thanks! I had a lot of trial and error. The main thing is to get lots of ground and sky so when you crop the stitched photo, you don't lose too much.

It just so happened that the Collins were entering Germany from China as I was entering from Italy. They saw me from a distance and Mrs. Collins (not knowing we were at WDW), said “That guy looks JUST like Matt!” She called my name but I never heard it. So then she told Colonel Collins that he HAD to take a picture of this guy who she swore could be my identical twin. She wanted to send it to my dad and were sure he’d be amazed that they saw a guy that looked just like me.[/B]

That is too funny! :lmao:

Gorgeous photos from your dash through World Showcase!

You truly have a gift with that camera! Your pictures are outstanding!! It's interesting how much more you can see without hoards of people in the way of the beauty that is WS. Sounds like a great morning, even if rushed.

Beautiful update, worth waiting for!

I too love the candid shot. I wonder what I look like when I'm rushing around the world.

Is the picture of the clock really a cell phone tower?

Thrilled you took some "you time" with the camera - GREAT SHOTS!

How is everybody doing? Still in my prayers...

Thanks! I was cracking up all day over that one.

Thanks! It was AWESOME that time of day. The place was desserted.

Thanks! As to the tower, it does indeed. I'd love to show you the construction photos but they are proprietary so I can't post them. Just know that not all tress have wood at their core, not all bell towers have just bells in them, and there's more lurking in the ceilings than just lights and AC ducts. ;) (And sometimes, that which appears to be aged copper is actually fiberglass.) If you have a cell phone that roams, it won't do you much good though as the particular network said items are attached to doesn't work with any other technology. If however you use your phone to get things DONE | well, then you just might be surprised how good your coverage is all over The World.

Hey, you ninja posted on me! Thanks! All is going well. Girls are loving the break from school (Tracy most of all I think!)

When this TR began, I wasn't expecting it to be a 300 page MS Word doc!

Nice to know I'm not the only person who writes their TR in Word format. I figured I'd be able to retrieve any missing posts if that ever happened, & it's much easier to make edits. :thumbsup2

Very interesting! I will much more closely at everything the next time I'm there.

Very cool pictures, GB. I don't know why your shots always amaze me, I should expect the great pics by now, but they still do. Maybe because I'm a point and shoot kinda girl. I think my faves are the composites you put together..makes me want to take pics of everything while we're there to put into an album for Piper! Very random that you would run into your parents' friends..so funny she thought it was someone that just looked like you! When do we get to see the kooky green lanyard? lol....

It's the only way to go!

Another one to look for: when you are headed to Animal Kingdom on the bus and are nearing the park, you'll notice a really TALL skinny "Tree" off in the distance. There's also a similar "tree" near the Grand Floridean.

Thanks! It was funny seeing someone I knew! I'll try to get a kooky lanyard shot at home. It's hanging in Tahli's room now I think.

what a wonderful photo journey! I really am going to have to try your compositing trick if I can ever remember to do the panoramic sweep so I'll have the photo's to work with.

SO funny about the Collins! I feel like you've had a VERY full day already and you are just now hooking up with the girls, I can't wait to see what is in store for the rest of the day.

I love the pictures that you "stitch" together. How do you do that? Is there software you use?

You should definitely give it a go. They are a ton of fun to do.

It would turn out to be most physically draining day of the trip for me.

Thanks! I use Windows Live Photo. It's free. I'm all about free.

GB, funny about the mistaken Identity part. I'm going to miss your updates terribly!

Please tell us you are you are going to start working on a PTR!
