Biscuit's Grand Adventure | An epic tale three decades in the making!

WOW!! That's pretty good you can take those pano shots without a tripod. :worship: I use Photoshop to assemble my shots. Since I only stitch 3 shots, it only took about 15 second to complete the process. I can't imagine how long it take to stitch 21 shots together. Ouch!
Thanks TD! Render tine was around 5-6 min each. Since I'm used to working with video that takes several hours to render, it didn't seem too bad.

TOP DOG! Good to see you!!! I need to come over to your report.....there's been so many that I've had to miss reading because of the holidays and planning our trip. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Commander G.B., when you have a chance you need to check out Top Dog's TR, he's an amazing photog as well. :thumbsup2
Everyone should check out Top Dog's report if you can, he's a funny guy and he does an amazing job taking photo's.

Sorry to hi-jack G.B. I loved your last entry. You always amaze me with your photog skeels! I still want to see the kooky lanyard thingy la-la.

Absolutely!

Oh shepherd who dwells on a thousand hills, impart on Jordan some mad photography skills. Amen.

(You may need to have your pastor anoint you with lens cleaning solution.)

I'm afraid lightening may strike!;)

Hil Camille. It's been a while. I see you are getting ready for your next trip soon. Hope you have a magical trip. Thanks for the plug on my PTR. Although it is still 11 months away.

Enough of hi-jack GB's TR. Now back to the regular programming on GB's Disney grand adventure. :worship: BTW, I hope everyone has a Happy New Year.

Happy New Year!!
I am only on Day 0-1 but I am already loving the pics-just bought myself a Nikon D60 DSLR and how you post what camera and settings under each pic. Also really like the commentary. Great report.

Ok, seriously, GB... your photography is AWESOME!! I just love the panoramic shots... it makes me feel like I'm standing right there with you!

Here is the link to one of the Photo of the Day threads.. you really should post on there once in a while!

I think it is hilarious that you went on this big kooky lanyard mission, and (after having multiple opportunities to buy one throughout the morning) snagged one as you were darting out of the park!!

You were probably ready for a nap by the time you got back!

It's just how we're wired. We're all 4 night owls. Which works out great. I LOVE evening EMH.

They had me cracking up! It was pretty much the only "candid" photo of myself from the trip.

It could have been bad. But I figured it wasn't the type of thing easily sold out of.

Thanks! I had a lot of trial and error. The main thing is to get lots of ground and sky so when you crop the stitched photo, you don't lose too much.

Okay, lots of ground and sky. I'll remember that.

Yeah, I was thinking that was a cool pic of you for that very reason. You are always the photographer so you're not in many of the pics, and the ones that you are in are mostly the posed one. Now we get to see you in action:goodvibes

I shot them all with my wife's point and shoot digital. I didn't have a tripod with me so I did all handheld. I started with the ground by my left foot, then did sets of ground, straight level, and sky shots moving a bit to the right each time. There was quite a bit of overlap which actually helped with the final render. I used Windows Live Photo and whenever there are multiple shots of the same element, it automatically removes the foreground so you get a cleaner shot. In the American Pavilion for example, it removed 3 people walking past while I was taking the shots and made it look empty. Of course it's not a perfect program. In the Morocco panoramic photo, the lady on the right appears to be floating after her legs were removed but her torso remained. Unfortunately you don't get to pick which elements are removed. But it's a free program and beggars can't be choosers so I'm prepared to deal with it.

Well, I think I could try this. I think the thing I did wrong was when I tried to do this was not to allow enough overlap. I gotta practice. Also, I think that I tried to shoot something that was too close (wall display - thought I could get the whole thing, I stood about 10 feet away and took about 12 shots, but it stitched together really wonky)

Thanks fo the tips:thumbsup2

Thanks and Happy New Year to you too! I don't have my database on this PC, so I can't remember if I gave you a :welcome: yet or not, but just in case, here's another. :welcome:

Keep trying! Some of mine didn't turn out at all either.

Just Saying Hi!!!
Hey Rosie!

GB, I'm jumping in to report that I've read through (via the chapter links) the trips of the 80's, the 90's (incl. honeymoon), the PTR, and the '77 retro-flashback report. They are fantastic! My biggest question is how in the world could you remember all of that detail from those bygone days?

So, I am now on the actual most-recent trip and will soon be caught up! Can't wait to be able to comment on something that isn't 30-some installments in the past.

I'm caught up now again - what a very nice solo morning!! Twice on MS Orange. Once did me in and I've never ridden that thing again!

And your mission is SUCCESSFUL! Way to go! You deserve a digi-medal.

I've been watching too much Agent Oso...

Hey GB. Finally got the guests out the door, much to DS's consternation, I'm sure. So, hopefully, I"m back to stay. Hopefully. Seems like can be pretty routine and predictable, then WHAM!!! Your hit with a Mac Truck.

I'm missing my biscuit updates. Where are you?
Hey! I'm stil here! With the in-laws in town and work being crazy, I haven't had time to get an episode completed yet. Hoping for Mon though.

Hey Brook! Welcome back! Can't wait to read all about your NYE trip.

Hey Liesa. Believe me I understand!

How about one with no photos (yet), but desparate for readers? (see below)
