Where do you get the "It's my b-day buttons?" Can you get them before you go or do you get them in the resorts/theme park shops?

Thanks!

You can also get them at Guest Services outside of the park, at least at Epcot. :cake:

In the MK I believe you can get them at City Hall. I'll find out in Feb when we go for DGS's first BD.

You can get the birthday buttons at any guest relations office in the 4 parks and Downtown Disney. (Each park has 1 GR location inside the entrance, and 1 outside of the entrance, both should have the buttons). Some ticket booths have the buttons, but this is not a guarantee.

My husband picked up his at the MK last month at City Hall. It is located on the far left as you walk in under the train station. There is a series of buildings with a courtyard in between. We picked his up in the building left of the courtyard. BTW that courtyard is where we met for our Keys of the Kingdom tour.

Just wanted to let you know to try to get one from each of the parks. Epcot and AK have different buttons than MK and MGM.

When I got mine, MK and MGM had the white round buttons w/ castle logo, Epcot had a rectangle shaped button w/ all the flags for the different countires, and AK had a green and white safari themed button.

Also, I assume you realize these are totally FREE and yours for the asking! I picked up one at each of the parks to use in my classroom - I was totally honest w/ guest relations about this and they were thrilled to give me one each time. ( I have a WDW themed classroom and on each student's b-day, they are allowed to wear their choice of button for the day. Also, for any other teachers out there, EVERY time I asked for something for my students my wish was granted! I brought home tons of the coloring menus from the restaurants - the ones with all those activities- my kids loved them!)

I plan to pick up more b-day buttons on our next trip in Feb. I'm wondering if the styles have changed. Anyone know?

Also, the button we got in Epcot was at the International Gateway entrance - it was actually DS's b-day and we had on the AK button from our morning visit. The CM spotted it and told him he HAD to have another from Epcot. Then she told him he had a phone call...she put him on the phone by the turnstyles and it was Goofy wishing him a happy birthday:cake:

Isn't Disney wonderful?!?!

Now, I'm wondering if the Future World/Main Gate entrance has a different style button????

Oh, don't forget to WEAR your button all day once you get it - CM's look for them and we got tons of perks - CM's busting out into song, extra fastpasses, flowers, special seating... these perks are meant for someone - might as well be YOU on your special day:bday:

thanks for the info about the different buttons. Next year we are going and it will be my birthday so nice to know:)

I can't wait to get my birthday button on our trip in February!

Will I need to bring ID to the park to prove it's my birthday?

I was just about to ask how much the birthday buttons cost, but they are free? That would be great since I plan to be in Walt Disney World over a family member's birthday!

The buttons are free. The Guest Services office at DTD offers a birthday pin as well.

We'll definately be getting dd one from each of the parks we visit in a couple of weeks. Thanks for the info! I knew about them, but wasn't sure where to pick them up.
